Is Hawthorne another useless vendor now? Her "powerful" engrams are not powerful!
I've picked up my usual weekly engrams from Hawthorne (x2). I got all the clan activity ones (crucible, trials, etc), as well as my personal clan XP.
[b] Not a single one of them[/b] were at the level I should have gotten for "powerful" gear. They were ALL at the soft cap of 340.
Every one of these used to be powerful gear. Now I hear Bungie changed it so they fall under the same soft cap as the rest of the vendors like Zavala and Devrim.
Ok, I can sort of understand changing the rewards that the [i]clan[/i] earns (if you personally didn't play trials, or the nightfall, I understand not earning powerful gear for that), but the CLAN XP engram is from [i]personal[/i] contribution from within the game and should reward powerful gear.
So now, it looks like Hawthorne is yet [i]another [/i][b]useless [/b]vendor, whose only purpose is to annoy you as you stand next to them while they repeat the same 2 lines over and over. This game is NOT good enough for me to get on every week and grind out activities so I earn enough XP, just to get a reward that is BELOW my power level.
Gone for 3 months, not much changed.

It’s bugged, fixed by next weekly reset. The did make a post about it. Said to hang onto your clan xp milestone and it will automatically decrypt into powerful gear after next weekly reset.

Why did they Nerf Clan XP Milestone again? It was giving us Powerful gear, now it shite. So what was the reasoning again? Thought this was the Friendship Engram so why Nerf it?

Just another instance of Bungie taking away from the player. I get that clan engrams shouldn't drop at high light, except the one that you rank up yourself, but now the one you rank up yourself isn't dropping higher light and the Trials one doesn't even drop Trials weapons. SMH

6 RepliesAccording to the TWAB, it’s a bug that I believe will be fixes today with a hot fix. Clan XP Milestone Rewards: We have identified an issue where players are not receiving Powerful Engrams when completing the Clan XP Milestone. Players are instead rewarded with Legendary Engrams, granting rewards under 340 Power.

4 RepliesThe powerful clan engram is bugged and should be giving powerful levels. The engrams that you can get for your clan doing certain activities will now only drop at the soft cap.

Hawthorne, after all, gives you free Raid and Trials weapons - some of the best guns in the game in both PvE and PvP. Essentially, you have to put in the work for the Light level now. I agree that the Personal Contribution engram should still drop high-Light gear, but I think Bungie thinks being a member of an active clan shouldn’t be a shortcut to max Light anymore.
