Escalation Protocol being hard as it is, requires at least 6 people to beat it so it seems kinda stupid when you cant go to a planet with 6 people. The current max is 3.
So please try to do this.
Thanks
EDIT: People still UV this lol :D i posted this in May

10 RepliesCry me a river. Its hard because you're low power level. Raise it and becomes easy. People like you disgust me.

1 ReplyActually there’s an even better solution to this problem. When you’re on a Mars with a 3 man fireteam, make it so you can leave the fireteam but stay in the same game. That way you can invite more than 6 friends on to the same server, if there’s enough space available.

1 ReplyEdited by Sektor556: 5/15/2018 4:57:41 AMSpeaking of escalation, finally got a good amount of randoms to congregate and actually beat the escalation boss today after an umpteenth or so tries, no reward. Wtf bungie...

1 ReplyJust dropping this here too:
Make fireteam forming easier. When you call your ghost there could be two new options there: Place rally beacon You plant a beacon that designates you as the fireteam leader. Everyone who come to the beacon and activate it joins your fireteam. The beacon could also emit a signal light that could be seen from far away. Activate signal beacon Similar to the rally beacon but you could be joined from players outside your current instance. Other players would see active signals from a new director tab and could join a fireteam and transport with a press of a button. Also increase the number of enemy spawns.
2 RepliesI don't even have 5 other people to play with, but I still gave you an upvote! What's wrong with 6 man patrols? That way the team can hang out at the EDZ (or where ever ) after a hard fought raid and keep having fun! Or before the raid, getting ready and warmed up before your team goes in.
-
Also need better patrol missions.

Edited by MIM: 5/15/2018 6:18:59 AMThis is a pretty common thing this past week in the forums. Great idea and definitely needed.
-
It’s endgame content, so 6 seems legit. I haven’t seen more than 4 people doing it at a time, but what do you expect when the reward is 2 tokens and a blue. No point in working you’re ass off if you can just do a Heroic Public event and get the same thing.
-
Edited by Demon_XXVII: 5/14/2018 7:32:23 PMMake everything Heroic minimum - plus prestige ( plus even harder setting) option for adventures/(truly) lost sectors (you're gonna need a team both find them and get through the entrances And make the Flashpoint on each planet incorporate Adventures and Lost Sectors, + variable 'surprise mo'fo' modifiers/difficulties, and especially on Faction Rally weeks This can be PvE levelling endgame Then increase Fireteams upto 6 ....difficulty rise as numbers increase (But if you wanna try prestige Flashpoints in 3man Fireteams - then you can!

1 ReplyEdited by D3fine Legend: 5/14/2018 4:36:22 PMI feel like the problem is the fact that Escalation Protocol is an event desgined for 6 or more players, while most if not all other events in the patrol area are designed for just a few. Protocol itself, while a good idea, just feels a bit strong and out of place in 3 man patrol. So it comes down to the dilemma of whether to make Protocol easier or in a different area, or increase fireteam size, or a combination of the two. I would like to see a separate area that large groups can load into that is designed to kill waves of enemies, like a PoE area but bigger and on Mars.

I wish fireteam sizes were bigger. Doesn't have to be 6. It can be 4, 5, etc. -blam!- blueberries. When in strikes, they hardly if ever accept party chat invites or use in game chat. But the population state of this game is horrid. Day one of the dlc you saw shit loads of people doing the escalation protocol. Now you're lucky if you find 2-3 people in the zone doing it. Wouldn't be an issue if I could play with more than 3 clan mates at a time. Bungie, you -blam!-ed up... again.
-
You mainly need this for Mars, but I wouldn't mind it for other patrol spaces as well. I want to see 26 people(as much as the tower)in one patrol space. That is the Escalation Protocol I want to see.

I have friends of fire teams that have tried this at the recommended light level as a 3 man fireteam and they got to level 5 of 7 when they hit 400 light enemies. Higher than our total max light level at 385 and they just couldnt dps enough. So this is absolutely designed to be played with more than just a 3 man fire team, the fact that you cant build that team and you have to rely on the random blueberries that pop in to have enough people seems a bit undersighted. No one is beating this as a 3 man team not even streamers, not to mention bungie sold it as a method of meeting randoms on planet, practically guarenteeing it needs more than a standard 3 man team. I agree the best two solutions are either increase fireteam size or make it like PoE in D1 with its own lobby. Orherwise it will end up entirely underutilized and forgotten by anyone but the collectors and sweats, who really dont care about the mode just the gear.

Bump!
-
Make it 9 as this is the max an instance on a planet can support!
-
6 is too easy. I would say 4 But idk
-
2 RepliesJust make EP selectable like Prison of Elders with match making. Stop trying to make random meetups on-planet a thing
-
What's it matter, I can't even find two old friends to play with let alone six.
-
#Bungie why this isn't a thing after 4 years idk.
-
Absolutely agree with you! All my gamer friends want the same thing. Lets play together! 6 would still exclude a lot of my friends but it should at least be an option. It's simple to scale the bots up with the number of players and many games have already done this.
-
1 ReplyThere's a vote for you Bungie, looks pretty unanimous to me.... something that's been asked for since D1. But hey you are "listening to the community"........ ???????
-
i have been asking exactly that since D1. still bungo dosent care.
-
1 Reply4 would be fine people bitching about this must realize that they are completely under powered for now/ give people 6 per team and you will have people bitching about this being too easy.
-
I would say increase the patrol fireteam size to match the crucible fireteam size. So four.
-
6 would be good, allows bigger fireteams to form in lfg. However I wonder what it'll be like when Mars is the flashpoint
-
Just have it set off a global message to everyone no matter where they are.
