offline credit limit reached
Has anyone else had this message? I dont have the net at home so cant play online anymore. I got it half way through the campain and now wont earn credits unless i put scoring on or firefight but even then the max i get is 50 cR doesnt matter what difficulty I put it on. My friend also doesnt have the net but he's not having this proble.
Any help would be great.

So once you've played online at all, there's a 50 credit per match limit imposed? Bungie's FAQ says that after playing online, a player's offline credits will be limited to 1000 credits per day, which seems impossible since the 360 has no internal clock - it can't track the passage of time. The 50 credit a match limit sounds more plausible. Either way, Bungie has absolutely failed to make the armory system and credit gaining reasonable. I appreciate that they hoped to benefit offline gamers by accelerating the credit gain rate, but why on earth would the permanently alter the offline credit earning after a single connection to matchmaking? I don't have high speed internet because it isn't available where I live, so I haven't played online yet - the only time I get to do so is if I visit a friend's house. But I'm inclined to forego playing online at all, since apparently Bungie assumes that once someone plays their first online game, they [i]must[/i] have regular access to XBL. for your info 'dayzaster' i took my xbox upto my parents where i had net access (just recently moved into my own place) an done a bit of playing there. I still have a gold live account but it runs out the 27th an dont have net in my place yet. rancked up a bit while a was on. so how do you supose i cheated then? what about my friend who's not online and what about 'Howtoguitar' who got to 16010 credits be for he got the message?

it said in the Reach faq that if you exceed 26k offline and then try to go online, you'll be forced to lose creds to make it "equal". SO forking stupid. and if the cost of what you buy+your total credits is still > 26k, you stand to lose ARMORY purchases as well, that you'll be forced to re-buy. I dont have interwebz either, and now i hear about this bull-monkey? i dont stand to lose TOO much as of yet, but if i keep playing WHICH I WILL, i'll stand to lose a hell of a lot more. Honestly, one of the worst mistakes bungie made. and bungie and mistake dont commonly appear in the same sentence, either. they really dropped the ball here.

Gruntpocalypse... I got about 30,000 credits today alone, maybe 40,000. It was mainly all in matchmaking though. Well if you can't play online then theres really no point to upgrade your armor anyway, nobody to show it off to.

Yup got the message today playing firefight. I'm about 90 credits short of 17000. It told me my offline limit was reached.

As i said b4 ma friend is offline and he's getting more than 50, he's higher rank and has never had this problem. oh and he's only playing on normal.

none taken :) thought that as well but your supost to get credits for finishing a level but none unless scoring is on. also played firefight for bout an hour on legendary got the 1 million score achievement and still only got 50 cR

:facepalm: he's playing offline guys. of course you can get 2000 pts in matchmaking. OP. you can only gain 50 credits in an offline game. if you could boost credits on local games, everyone would do it. [Edited on 09.17.2010 7:55 AM PDT]

I had 6381 credits when it happened. I thought it might b a daily limit as well at 1st but this happened on the 14th and i still cant get any more than 50 at a time. My friend is gettin bout 2000 ish at a time and he's never had this ether. Whats the easyist way to get in contact wi someone who might know? ( No offence intended)

I think they said that you can only get so many non matchmaking credits per day, to prevent farming, or something.

I've not had this problem YET but I spend my credits ALOT LoL. How many credits did it let you get to? Anyone heard about an offical credit limit?
