for -blam!- sake, no wonder I can't finish heroic strikes.....no one uses the damn element for this week, I see people using arc sub class when its solar burn........
-
Regarding the burn modifier, it's benefits are negligible. Use which ever supers are appropriate for the encounter.
-
It is unreal what you see. Then there are all those posting on here with the git gud lines about how they don't need no singe cause they is just natchlly OP players. It is actually the rare thing to see your team equipped to match the modifiers. We are designing the game around the hard core players LOL cool idea but there are none left.
-
Dude. Thats the main reason I been quitting matches. When I see someone under level and top of that not using the right fecking weapons.
-
It’s not like you need a solar class to complete the strikes. They aren’t hard. Striker regardless for me with solar weapons. Haven’t had any problems thus far
-
In my personal opinion, Raiden Flux Arcstriders get a pass for this because of how good they are for clearing high level ads. The amount of times that I’ve saved a team from a wipe by killing Ogres and major Knights during the Xol encounter makes up for not using Nighthawk

1 ReplySaw a dude use a Void subclass, Void energy weapon, and Void power weapon. Went pure Void on Solar burn. Didn't even have the good sense to equip Nuzzy's Sin.
-
-
2 Repliesit's a strike, solar burn doesn't help that much, play what you want to play.
-
Barely difference in the damage from the burn. I've been running arc strider with raiden flux as I make my super last atleast twice as long. Allowing good dps and crowe control. Want the strike 100% your way, play with friends.
-
I use tether for orb production, I'm only 340 something and the 370s I was playing with, whom were using the correct burn, kept dying. If the player sucks, they suck.
-
Gotta say, the slight solar damage increase doesn't seem to do a lot, unless you combo it with the improved power weapons. If you have a really great Arc or Void build you're probably still better off using those than going Solar for a barely noticeable damage boost.
-
Been using any subclass I please. Special and power weapons have been changed to solar though. Telling someone to change their entire way of playing is just lol The abilities + player skill could screw you

Hi I’m Jason, I’m seventeen years old, and I never learned how to -blam!-ing read

1 ReplyEdited by N7_Dredgen: 5/12/2018 2:59:04 PMThe burn really isn't that important to follow. I would use an Arc class for Solar burn because I prefer arc classes and my exotics are all tailored to them - I would however use a Solar Weapon more, since the DPS output of weapons is drastically more important than that of classes. Anyway, I've done Void and Solar this week while still playing my Arc classes - and guess what, I haven't ragequit or been able to not finish a strike yet. (And getting the most kills in all of them... funny that considering I didn't conform my loadout to the burn). What people need to pay more attention to is the negatives. Yesterday I was getting so pissed seeing players jump 12 feet in the air and then being 1 shotted. Those are the people who need to pay attention to the modifiers... not the people who refuse to conform their loadout the arbitrary burn that hardly impacts anything.

Edited by GalaxySpider: 5/12/2018 7:55:26 AMUsing just the element is helping you shit tbw. The power level from many is under recommended power level of the Strike. So right now every enemy gains a bigger advantage than you anyway. All you do is underperform and helping the enemy more than your random squad if you play with a stupid loadout fitting the element, instead of fitting the situation. When the insta-gib melee modifier was on, I played nightstalker with Orpheus instead of Golden Gun during the Nokris fight. And we actually made it because of that. Clearing the ads was much more important.
-
I kinda agree only when your extremely underleveled . You need that extra damage !
-
I use arc for my pulse nades an works for me. Must have done 20 + heroics now. Try an use solar guns but need to finish my crimson catalyst off. My point is if it's working for u use it.
-
4 RepliesAs a warlock main, ya’ll dreaming if you think I’m using dawn blade. Worst subclass in the game.
-
I use whatever I want to use. Titan is always Solar, Hunter is always Void, and Warlock goes between Void and Arc. No one lost a Strike because they didn't use the right element. They lose because they don't pay attention to the other 2 modifiers.
-
I always do and if I’m unsure I pull my ghost out and check again lol. Did with d1 and will do with d2 :)
-
Seriously tho , but I’ll still use devour ;)
-
My brother was using Striker and that did more damage than my Sunbreaker lol.
-
Doesn't matter. Nightstalker is still one of the best classes to use, regardless of burn. Besides, singe only increase damage by 25%.
-
Eh, I did the pyramidion today, and I did better as my nightstalker than I did when I started out with solar. So, I think I'll play what I'm good at lol

Edited by jlboozer: 5/11/2018 4:34:48 PMStop cussing at me like a spoiled 12 year old who just learned his first naughty word and maybe I will. Until then I'm running arc on void burn just for you...
get good scrub...😉
Make me.
