The warmind dialogue was absolute garbage. It was so bad it even makes failsafe’s writing look decent

1 ReplyThe dialogue was so cliche' and cringe in Warmind, I'm shocked it made it to 'final final' draft to publish! It's almost like they don't actually do multiple drafts on the story elements...

I am very disappointed with the dialog and plot in Warmind. I just don't get the feeling that they are putting much effort into the writing anymore.

2 RepliesAna is just another planetary character in a string of sub-par individuals. We break our pick to get to "her family home". after we do all the heavy lifting she just poofs in and takes charge. Then sits there typing away while all manner of chaos is going on right outside her unclosed door. And all the while she sounds like a little kid. I'll say this she is not as condescending as Sloane, as irritating as Asher, or as whacko as Vance. I kind of give Failsafe a bit of a pass since it's just an AI, and at least Devrim has his rifle (I've never seen him shoot anything, but I guess he tries).

1 ReplyShe needs help, just not the kind of help the Vanguard would offer. Especially after Zavala's attitude. This DLC has furthered my disappointment with the Vanguard, throwing their authority around even in matters that are above them. "Raputin is Vanguard business". Really Zavala? I'm pretty sure the last surviving member of the Clovis-Bray family has more right to Rasputin than you do...for that matter Rasputin is an AI, doesn't that mean that, like Failsafe and Exos, he has the rights and liberties of any other sentient? I mean sure he started as a simpler creation but has been active for who knows how long and has evolved well beyond his own limitations, he's become something more and gained sentience.

3 RepliesI kind of like the story in this one, some complexity with the characters was added and we kind of get left on a cliffhanger. Also if you do the adventures on Mars it really seems like this group of Hive is trying to reanimate Savathun. So maybe we get a Savathun raid in the fall. Would be cool. I also like that Anna Bray asks you to make copies of something Zavala wants us to destroy meaning they have left an opening for Zavala to be super pissed at us going behind his back. I’m interested to see where the story goes next.
