XBOX ONE - Error code: Boar [Fix Found]

When I start the game, I'll get an xbox message saying "Looks like you own this", followed by another xbox message saying "You already own Expansion II (sometimes it says Expansion I)". After this, the game itself shows a loading screen for about 2 seconds before I get an error code: Boar. I've tried hard resetting and deleting and reinstalling both expansions to no avail. Additional info: I game share but the game + licences were bought on my xbox and account. I recommend trying Fix 2 before Fix 1. Fix 1: It IS game share that is causing this issue. Disable it by setting your xbox as the "home console" (Google it if you cannot find it). Fix 2: So I tried game sharing again and this crap appeared. This time, I closed Destiny, deleted both CoO and Warmind. Then I started Destiny again without redownloading the expansions. Had no problems thereafter.

  • So I am gamesharing but my friend has never played d2 and doesn't even have it installed and still get this error at least once a week. Attempted fix 2 several times with no luck. Only thing that's worked is hard resetting my Xbox 2-3 times

    • I don't need to try fix one, it is my home xbox and I bought the game. I tried fix 2 and it did not work. I have no access to D2/Forsaken and no idea what to do to fix it.

    • I've uninstalled the game dlc's including the pstches that just came in on my Xbox. I downloaded all dlc's and loaded game and still gave me error code. I do play share but that shouldn't hinder anyone from playing this game. It's an option that Microsoft offers for gsme sharing and should not punish players for using that option.

      • I haven't shared anything on my XBOX ONE so I don't understand why it's doing this for me. It was fine yesterday I did some stuff and it was working then I played an hour ago and just got back on and it's doing it again.

        • Misleading title. It's not game sharing. I have never game shared, and I can check my xbox account history and it has never been accessed anywhere else by anyone aside from me.

        • I just downloaded the game today, played fine. Came back to it a bit later and getting the boar error code. I dont game share so im not sure what to do. Im still able to play all dlc but have to do the start menu twice each time I want to play

          Um no this doesn’t work. My Xbox is already set as my home Xbox and I’m having this issue. I don’t understand what the problem is but I’m very unhappy EDIT: Uninstalling both DLCs and loading the game normally has been working for me

          • This just happened to me and I've never game-shared. I still had to go to the settings and set as home xbox. So, even if you don't game-share this should fix it for you still.

          • *Quicker temp fix* *****No need to stop game sharing :)**** *no need to hard reset or rest modem/router* *dlc works* just delete the 2x 10mb updates (exspansion I&II) then load game after verify reinstall them both while game is playing if kicked for idle repeat

          • I'm NOT disabling game share just to play. The reason I game share is to play with my friend who is game sharing. So, disabling it isn't a "fix". Seriously, Bungie are absolute jokers. They KNOW people are angry about the game going downhill, yet won't work on bugs and errors? Seriously, this game is done.

            • Wow so this isnt an error its working as intended Sharing Destiny Content with Multiple Accounts Some platforms may allow players who own Destiny content licenses to share game content with other accounts on the system. For information on how to access game sharing features, please see PlayStation Support or Xbox Support. Players accessing Destiny content through the game sharing feature may not be able to access all DLC, add-ons, promotional items, or pre-order items for which the primary account owns the licenses. Bungie does not support any issues with loss of access to items on accounts that are using the game sharing features to access Destiny content.
