They keep punishing players that don’t want to play other classes, even though it doesn’t effect anyone else if someone has 3 hunters, or 3 warlocks or 3 titans.
Why does Bungie try to force a play style on its players?

1 ReplyDunno. I think the point is to stop power levelers, but my counter to that is always why not just cap the rewards per character slot? Or 3 times per account? I think the changes are stupid (and I run all 3 classes). It punishes those who dont enjoy playing a certain way by limiting the progression of their alts.

Edited by Cosmic Zaa: 5/6/2018 1:38:53 PMBud, take a seat. Unfortunately, having 2-3 of one class means you can power level faster than other players. So a foot had to be put down with this update. Me getting a 350 titan chest will make my titan level up faster but since its a titan piece it wont make my hunter level faster. From here, the titan having 350 armor would go to the next titan who will get 360 armor and the third will get 370 armor. (not actual numbers, just example.). All while anybody else is stuck at 350 still.

They ar just trying to slow your leveling progression to keep you playing longer to make up for there lack of end game content ,too bad if you only want to play as one character bungie doesnt care
-
You're not representing the issue properly when you say they hate people that don't want to play other classes. The issue, as you would put it, would be that they hate people that boost ahead of others by intentionally playing the same class in 3 different slots.

8 RepliesEdited by DredLaP: 5/5/2018 12:47:00 PMHopefully only the new raid and prestige weekly drop max LL. Running old raids should not drop max. Eow and leviathan should be maxed at the soft cap.

3 RepliesIsn't the lockout only for raid and raid lairs? Can't you still run the nightfall and the new escalation protocol (which will drop armor at max light) on all three chars and still get loot? Also milestones too?

2 RepliesNever faced a 6 team of full hunters?
-
3 RepliesNot sure, I guess they want more diversity but honestly I’d rather just play as 1 class with a lot of subclass options. Titans don’t feel good to me. Warlocks are cool but hunters just feel more natural to play in my opinion.
-
They really don't. You can still use them for your base leveling. Did it for the start of D2 and quite a bit in D1. Now I just level up my 2 other classes so I know what they can do, grab the exotics for them, etc. Then I use them for storage until the next release. While I'm for a longer, harder grind for max light, I wish they would base it off of xp instead of the weekly reset and powerful engrams hoping rng blesses you with that one piece of armor you need for max light. I've had characters get lucky and grab it the first week. I've had characters that have had to wait 4 to 6 weeks.

Edited by ChOcOsKiiZo: 5/5/2018 5:22:00 PMThey don't hate you , you can play only one class if you want , and for only one class you don't need other characters ;)
unless you want to trick leveling

Because they don’t want to reward and encourage players to not use other classes
-
I honestly don't get how anyone can run multiple characters that are the same class. It always struck me as tedious and dull.

2 RepliesEdited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 5/5/2018 11:40:36 AMIf you don't want to play other classes, then just make 1 character. The only reason you would need 2 more charachters of the same class is to shortcut progression by getting 3x the loot each week, and that's what they are stopping.
-
Because they’re tired of you breaking the game with them. Then coming back and complaining that “the game is too small” and “there’s not enough to do.”
-
5 RepliesIs your question serious? The answer is fairly obvious, and I'm sure you're aware of it as well. Bungie doesn't want your character to progress 3 times faster than they've intended for it to progress.
-
Back in D1 you could run the same Nightfall three times with the same class. Transferring your gear over to get the same light level. This made progression too easy compared to other players who didn't do run say three titan classes. Bungie nerfed that option in D2 so you have to diversify your gameplay. Which brought everyone to the same standard progression speed so everyone was equal. I don't know why you would want the same three classes other than to speed up your progression.

1 ReplyRunning 3 of the same class was out of necessity due to horrendous drop rates of old. Expand your horizons.

It's about damn time that they changed it. I had multiple characters of one class back in Destiny 1, and felt like the only way to increase my characters level was to continue making alts every week to be competitive. Make a new character, level it through the story, equip my mains armor and weapons, do the raid to try and get loot, send everything back to my main, delete the new character and create the cycle anew. It was tedious. They attempted to address that problem in Destiny 2, with having milestones locked to each class, but I feel like they forgot to address raid loot to be apart of that system, which they are now fixing. And that's great.

Bungie hates anyone having fun. Why do you think that they put luke smith in the position he occupies & look what came of it a game that sucks so bad you want to put a brick through the tv screen because of they bull shit
-
5 RepliesI think your post is enough evidence to justify the hatred.

29 RepliesThe question is why would anyone have more than one of any class? It's not complicated at all to switch equiment, skills, and such so I can't see the reason.

10 RepliesProgressing three times as fast does affect other people.
-
Edited by shadonic: 5/5/2018 1:03:48 AMThey don't hate you, they hate the idea that you're pushing yourself too fast using the same class. there is no other reason to have 3 of the same class, other then to push ahead. honestly, i couldn't care less about that.doesn't affect me in the least, but apperantly bungie sees an issue in that method of power leveling.
-
6 RepliesThey don't they just don't want having 3 of a single class winding up being an exploit to side step the leveling system in the gam. Nothing more.
-
4 RepliesI don’t play the titan class, you don’t see me with multiple warlock and hunter characters. It is a loot loophole that has festered in the game long enough and they are fixing it. It is their game their rules, if you do not like it don’t play it.
