Just curious if any of you have read it and if anyone's upset.
Coming with the Warmind/season 3 changes Bungie is implementing a raid loot/drop lockout for duplicate classes.
I'd like to say it makes sense because most players would of course make 2 characters with different classes or 3 different classes all together. That way they see all the gear and get to experience 3 different playstyles. However what about the people who made 2 hunters/warlocks/titans or maybe even three? Is it really fair that between 3 different characters they only get to get one loot drop or a chance at doing activities and receiving awards for them. It kinda sucks.
Here what i mean at reset
Player 1: 2 chars a warlock and hunter.
Player 2 3 chars 2 hunters 1 titan
P1/hunter does Leviathan normal
gets drops from dog/gauntlet/pools/calus/plus challenge: 5 chances at gear and weapons with rng
P2/hunter #1 does Leviathan normal
gets same drops rewards as player 1: 5 chances at rewards.
Now lets say both players are highly skilled and go on to complete a prestige leviathan raid ,they both just got 5 more chances at rewards and drops.
As of right now both players can play and enjoy drops from raid and raid lair activities. In both the normal and prestige mode. Doing Leviathan twice, EoW twice, and the normal version of Spire of Stars just once. But player one has the luxury of getting drops off both his classes and player 2 only gets to enjoy these activities 2x despite having 3 characters. Both of player 2's hunters count as the same when the game checks for completed raid activities and between their 3 characters will only ever get 2 chances at raid specific loot per clear/run or encounter every week. Not very cool.
I don't blame the guy who runs duplicate classes because they want more drops, to be honest rng sucks. If they want a full set of gear faster let them have it. If this is meant to stifle our progression to lvl cap, why? if you made the rng right it wold take the same amount of time no matter if someone has 2 of the same class.
All I know is anyone with 2 or 3 of the same class is getting -blam!-ed over and tats not cool. We make more than one character so we can do the raids more than once. Why does it matter if they're all the same class. Because now someone with 2 warlocks or 3 titans only gets to do the normal and prestige once a week. Between 3 characters only one Chance at those drops. Why would they even play then. And forget telling them to remake 2 characters and walk back through the horrid campaign and wasteful adventures. Let players enjoy D2 how they'd like.
Shame

The shutdown another exploit for gaming the progression system. One I wouldn’t mind leaving open if those weren’t the same people who come back and complain about the game not having enough to do.

2 RepliesRaid weapons are based outside of class unless you count swords. Raid armor sets benefit only 1 specific class. So by that logic? 3 sets are needed for 3 different drops. You also need to have the skills and reflexes to be considered for a raid group. So no. It's not unfair. An account with 3 hunters will have the option of transferring between them. A titan, warlock, and hunter account must get all the drops necessary for those classes. Not angry at all. It's smart considering I have a warlock, hunter, and titan.

Thats all Bungie has left, bad ideas....
