All Time Best Destiny Scout Rifle

Edit: Sorry about the uneditable botch on the poll. Hung Jury would probably be 2nd or 3rd in the poll currently.

8 RepliesMy old Colovance's Duty. I had most of those other guns, but the battered old Iron Banner-issue scout was my bread and butter gun through most of Taken King, all of Rise of Iron, and it even saw heavy use in Age of Triumph, when an exotic primary was problematic.

2 Replies"All time best Destiny scout rifle"... Everybody has their favorite but Touch of Malice shouldn't be on this short list. It's not a good all around gun, it's just a very good situational gun. Every time this is brought up everybody raves over the Hung Jury. Good gun but the reason it was so popular was because it was so easy to obtain, not because it was the best scout. Don't get me wrong, it had a great roll, perks, etc. You could buy it and be set, but if you got, for example a perfectly rolled Cocytus from the weapon smith then you had a better scout rifle. Hand of Judgement, not on the list, best scout in Destiny. I really don't think many people got this weapon or got a good one to drop or it would be talked about more. It just wrecked everything. Best gun I took in every raid. Same archetype as Jade Rabbit, Badger, Cocytus, but for some reason the available perks for this gun seemed to be more varied so you could get really good rolls to drop. It was a real wrecking machine. Maybe because it dropped from House Judgement the available perk tree was larger, but I had a few of them with different combination of perks like outlaw, explosive rounds, crowd control, firefly, hidden hand.

The fact that hung jury isnt one here discredits the list. But id have to say Cocytus SR4 Mine had triple tap rifled barrel and firefly... So damn close to perfect.

The OG hung jury really should be on here, and tbh nameless really has no business being on this list which is less a comment on nameless and more a comment on the poor state of many guns compared to their D1 counterparts.
