I am sorry to those PvP players that are not toxic and apologize to you all ahead of time. But I can’t help but notice a lot of “top PvP Destiny streamers” (I won’t mention names) are kiiinda complaining even when they are winning games. However, when they are losing or get beat by a team, it’s always an excuse, it’s either -blam!- the colony, the wardcliff coil, not enough “primary” gunplay, blah blah blah. I wish they would understand that there are other people that play the game and maybe something that those people like is not necessarily what others would like or use. Again, sorry to those players that just take the good with the bad and play on. But these streamers, I believe, have been ruining the game for years now. They have a voice and expect things to change specifically for them. It’s quite annoying. I play PvP but not competitively, Destiny will never be a competitive PvP game, regardless what anyone says. They can make up all kinds of variations of PvP and call it “Swets”, “Sweaties” or whatever other dumb name they want. But there are competitive games out there where those things matter. Not in Destiny.

This isnt just streamers. And I am sure these people are not the only ones you feel the need to point out. The PvP community, and not just in Destiny, is as a whole very toxic. This is due more to the internet. People can be rude to you, mean to you, bully you, online and have barely to no consequences from their actions, because hey.. its the internet, you are a pixle on a screen, just text and nothing more. Makes it very easy for people to forget their manners, if they have any at all to begin with, when they dont have to stare you in the face, and realize that you are another person, another gamer just wanting to have fun. All you can do is report, block and ignore and just move on. And sadly nothing usually happens when you report someone. So people just continue with their poor manners. Its a rare breed of person who can win gracefully and lose just as gracefully. Those who dont, tend to just get angry and dont learn from their losses.

5 RepliesThe ability to win with grace, and lose with dignity is a SKILL that needs to be learned....and ENFORCED by a culture of sportsmanship. Actual sports do this...from a young age...and will enforce both on and off the field even into the professional ranks. Just ask Hope Solo. The problem in video games is you have all this competitive energy unleashed by those PVP-oriented games. But very few of these people have ever learned how to handle it in a mature and responsible manner. So they gloat when they win (teabag) and whine like babies when they lose.

you have the power to defeat streamers, simply ignore them.
-
I only know of one

2 RepliesThere was that one guy in D1 that used to try to win pvp games with only one technique just for giggles. I remember one game he was just trying to win rumble with nothing but peregrine greaves knee kicks. I wonder what happened to that guy.

Primary weapons are underpowered. It's your fault if you can't recognize this.

Edited by TotallyNotAnEmu: 5/5/2018 12:37:07 AMThe only way some can maintain the size of their ego is by denouncing everything conflicting with their views as incorrect and broken. Now, if we all think very hard, we might be able to think of a few notable examples.

Plus u got these guys that run stacked and they tea bag u when they win. Funny thing is most of the time I'm running with scrubs from the LFG

2 RepliesAnd this is why PvE players can’t have nice things because they get nerfed by salty kids.
-
Gothalion, triplewreck, datto, and truevanguard are the most toxic ones
-
They ruined the experience of snipers in the raiding side in d1, complaint about how snipers have to many bullets..jezzz it’s a game, grow and a get a job and stop breaking code of conduct by having viewers pay for you failed trials runs. It’s disgusting how they treat they’re own subs as well, if the person isn’t any good at pvp they drop from the game, amazing isn’t it.

18 RepliesI watch sometimes , but I'm watching to see these so called pros get beat. I love when they reset their card.
-
pvp ruined destiny, period.

You won’t hear them if you don’t watch them!!! TMYK🌈⭐️

2 RepliesThis is players in general. Rarely do people say, "well, I messed up there." especially when we can just randomly abdicate all responsibility for our performance by blaming anything else =)
-
7 RepliesI play PvP quite a bit and I watch it on twitch. I’m assuming you hardly; if ever do. Never has anyone complained about Wardcliff Coil in PvP. The colony hasn’t really been spoken of since the go fast update. No one says “not enough primary”, esp with the rise of the vigilance wing. A competitive game is subjective, and destiny thrives on PvP and trials. Trials is competitive. Without trials there would be no twitch directory at all, especially on the weekends.

1 ReplyIt's be so sweet if Bungie could add a few enemies in matches (similar to the mechanic in Halo 5) that could soak up some blame. For example, you got this sweet headshot lined up on a hapless Hunter whose dancing like an idiot...you take a breath, go to pull the trigg---OHSNAPHIVEKNIGHT!! Then we could watch the streamers, the forums and the clan chat pages fill with "Omg srsly Bungie nerf dregs in pvp!!" Ah, wishful thinking 😁

3 RepliesI'm not sure what you expected. When reaction videos are a thing on YouTube and a fairly popular thing too, it seems the bigger the reaction the more views they generally get. Therefore exaggeration and overreaction lends itself to garnering a larger following. So when you combine the audience members gravitation towards overreactions and exaggerated commentary, bear in mind, most of the audience members are from Gen Y where blaming shifting is the norm, you can guess why "Top streamers/twitchers" are the way they are.

Remove PvP.

I'm a pretty good loser (unless there is a genuine reason to be mad, such as 3-6 stacks), but I tend to get a bit irritated when I get killed by stupid guns or from things I shouldnt, and of course when bugs ad such strike. Winning? I'm a pretty good winner, at least in person. In the game I probably look like the worlds worst winner, but reat assure, that is just me celebrating, lkl
-
I only get angry when people are shit at the game, whether it’s me or the people bellow me in the scoreboard, if you’re bad enough to not listen when someone’s using their super and run right at them- you deserve to be abused
-
I agree with everything you've said. I've been saying this for a long time. Always an excuse when they're losing. Instead of other players being better than them. For that game.
-
1 ReplyAttitude is EVERYTHING in this world - it is the only reason I haven't let this Cancer kill me just yet, I still got things to do!

There is this one kid that still plays d1 and one day he was streaming d2 and he said the most dumbest stuff like “d1 made sweats/competitive play” so obviously he never played ranked halo or CoD. These destiny kids think their so good it’s honestly cringe.

Let them cry. At least I could have a nearby salt mine or teary river for strolls!
