For PvP, your best all around bet would be a handcannon with Rifled Barrel and LitC, Hidden Hand, or Rangefinder combined with any high aim assist sniper. Some maps like Anomaly are great for Fusion Rifles. Maps like Widow's Court and Shores of Time, I prefer Scout Rifle with Explosive Rounds and a Sniper. PvE, my favorite combo by far is Explosive Rounds/Firefly Scout Rifle like Cryptic Dragon or Wounded along with Shotguns of the Occam's Razor archetype. If it's Arc Burn plus Small Arms, Zhalo Supercell is a monster. Bad Juju is pretty close up there too for near infinite Supers.

1 ReplyOverall I think scout rifles are solid and some of the best guns in the game. Mida, Vision, Chaos, Fang, Chelchis, Hung jury...still use all of them. Specially Mida and Vision.

If you're trying to what Bungie set out to force us to do with the special ammo nerf, that is to say play the game with nothing but a primary... autorifle. It's a decent all-around performer. If you wanta primary that does what primaries were intended to do, mesh with a special, I say scout rifle. It's got range, it's got accuracy. It's crummy up close, but your shotgun or fusion will take up the slack.
