Posted by: MUFC David Okay I have placed the bomb spawn, I have made it the blue teams bomb spawn. So do I have to place the as_goal as red team, so the blues go into the base and plant the bomb there? I am really confused.
An object labeled "as_bomb" will spawn a bomb for the team that owns that object (or a neutral bomb as the gametype requires). An object labeled "as_goal" is the object which the owning team is trying to defend. So you can have a Red Team "as_bomb" and a Blue Team "as_goal," and only the red team will ever be able to score. For a full-blown Assault set up, you need one "as_bomb" and "as_goal" for each team (and usually they're close to each other), and one neutral "as_bomb."

It's generally best practice to use the neutral team for all respawn points, and then cover each side of the map with a respawn zone, one for each team. This way, players in FFA games will be able to use all the spawn points, but players in team games will only spawn on their side.

Thanks nice guide. -Pezmondo

There's a lot of good information here *thread saved*

instead of putting them on nuetrual put them to blue team, that should make them spawn at the blue base, same for red etc..
-
ok but what if i want blues to spawn somewhere differnt to reds eg at their own bases? ive basicly set 2 repawn zones one at each base. nevermind i think i know now thanks to the OP. Think i have to set respawn points not respawn zones. [Edited on 09.16.2010 1:47 PM PDT]
Posted by: P4DDS i would still like to know how to set respawn points properly . as i have set one for both teams on my map but when people die they still respawn else where on forge world and them die due to being away from battlefield.
Make sure the respawn points you're placing are Neutral, and make sure there are enough to allow everyone to respawn. If you're falling back to the base Forge World respawns, it sounds like there's a problem with your labeling (try making them non-gametype specific) or alignment (they should be neutral).
