I know the guardians are on earth. But every other race is on earth: hive, fallen, cabal, taken.... bears. Are the vex afraid of the traveler, or am i just being dumb.
-
Because as you said, all the other races are here. Including Guardians and the Light, something the Vex have only recently begun to understand, I doubt the Vex have the resources to wage war against more than one or two races at a time on a single planet.

If you can control and manipulate time and space itself, why would you want to go somewhere that holds literally nothing of importance for you?
-
1 ReplyIf you held control of time and Guardians beat you, would you go to their house and let yourself in?

Traveler I suppose? They also tend to be smarter then everything else. Odds are they want to be certain of victory, so they'll probably wait till the systems converted before they try.

7 RepliesThey’re most likely scared of the light. There’s a line in the Nessus adventure (the one where failsafe creates a way for ghost and her to access the vex network (the one with the floaty islands)) where ghost says that “the vex say they’re scared of you, of your light”. Chances are they fear us. Put it like this; you’re scared of spiders, imagine a big f*ck off tarantula in front of you. To the vex guardians are the spiders and the traveler is like the big f*ck off tarantula. Anyway that’s just my interpretation of it.

There is nothing on Earth the Vex wants...and because they can Time travel the have no need to directly confront either The Traveller or it’s Guardians. They just need to find the timeline where we can’t interfere with their final victory. They only “fear” the Traveller to the extent that they can’t simulate The Light and predict Its or Guardians actions. Guardians make their own fate....

To answer your question they are actually very afraid of the Traveler, but I doubt that's the real reason they haven't made a move toward Earth. It's more likely that when the Vex want something they go all in. They would try to convert the whole planet. From a gameplay perspective seeing Vex structures on Earth would have it lose its aesthetic identity.

Hive are on earth. Vex and hive don’t like each other. Like not at all. They’ve almost wiped each other from existence a few times. It will be interesting to see the play out on mars.

What Ghost hinted at in Venus is that the Vex are on every planet and choose which to return to via instantly teleporting from anywhere in the galaxy. Kind of like sleeper cells. But so far we haven't seen them on Earth, Moon, or Titan. And all three of those areas have Hive in common. Which might be interesting to see how the Vex on Mars react to learning about Nokris' Hive brood. The Hive and Vex don't get along well.

3 RepliesDon't forget what we learned on Venus. There is no they, them. It's one mind across limitless platforms. Ghost was able to pull up the Ishtar data on the first or second ever mish on Venus. It was revealed that the Vex we fight and kill are like limbs. Think Borg a la Trek.

Because of the traveller. They can't approach it as they shut down. The traveller has the ability to make the collective dormant. In one of the old grimour it is the traveller who seals the black garden.

we dont really have a particular reason i would suggest bringing it to the attention of a lore master like mynameisbyf

Would be good to put some vex in the free edz areas. Loads if empty spaces that could be made good. But being lazy is just to easy
-
Because, that would mean that the Earth is completely -blam!-ed!!!

They don’t want to mix their Vex Milk with our plastic particle polluted water.
I know the guardians are on earth. But every other race is on earth: hive, fallen, cabal, taken.... bears. Are the vex afraid of the traveler, or am i just being dumb.
The Vex can see into the future. We keep kicking their asses as it is. Then we pave them over and put up a Burger King or Eververse franchise. They can foresee bad shit if they make it here. I bet they’re thinking twice about showing up in the first place.

Edited by FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 4/29/2018 4:03:36 AMThey are either trying to take over other planets or they don’t want to waste their time with us?

I think their afraid of the guardians and if the light because the can’t simulate either and what they can’t simulate they can’t understand, What they can’t understand they fear. So they probably aren’t to keen on going to the place with arguably the highest concentration of light and guardians.

The giant white ball in the sky.

They haven’t got their plane tickets yet

Earth is the Guardian's home turf. They're probably being practical. We have the Light and it makes us unsimulatable, so I guess they just shrug their collective chassis and work on planets will less complications.

1 ReplyThey don't breath oxygen. And they know about our past where we used robots as slaves to play video games or drive from point a to b.

1 Reply<Light can't be simulated. Once they learn how to simulate Light, we're -blam!-ed and they'll be on Earth.>

2 RepliesIf i recall correctly the vex came through a hole crota ripped in oryxs throne realm and began spreading from there, so no they didnt originate anywhere in our solar system or even our universe, theyve seen the future and they lose, be it to us or the darkness, that is what they are trying to prevent, they are trying to make themselves a "truth" something that is and always will be, to that end they are attempting to convert all of existence into vex. So if theyre not on earth yet, they will be. But as others suggested they are biding their time before committing the resources, meaning when they do arrive it may be in the form of descendant vex, not the vex native to our time. Or possibly precursor vex attempted it in their future, lost and are rebuilding to present day strength, with their control over time and space its impossible to know.
