just watched some pc vids and the combat, movement, and weapon recoil looked very flat, there was no head bob as well while running. Why do pc players who have it easier with mouse and keyboard get easier recoil to control? Makes no sense.

The recoil on consoles is pathetic on all weapons compared to D1

9 RepliesNo aim-assist. Harder to pull down with a mouse to manage recoil. Aiming is easier with a mouse. Managing recoil is easier with a joystick.

Yeah, I have no idea why it isn't the other way around, or otherwise normalized. It almost makes this slow time to kill not complete trash. I'd have the recoil either reduced on controller or increased on mouse, no idea why it isn't already like that.

i said this the moment i saw pc gameplay. the console players got screwed. give console players the option to reduce recoil to pc standards.

The play experience is very different on PC compared to PS4 in other ways too. Everything is much faster on PC. Even warlock glides feel fast. Without aim assist it is sometimes actually hard to hit someone who moves really fast. Sure there are laser wrists who never miss but generally speaking the movement game is wholly on another level. Playing on PS4 feels like swimming through tar afterwards and the aim assist that grabs your enemy gives this uncanny feeling. Sometimes you just lazily pull the trigger and things die. I am not saying it is all bad. I personally just require an adjustment period to get my game on. I always miss the feeling of speed on PC though. There is some recoil on PC but it is much less visceral. Just think of PC version as a completely different game in a sense.

i have never played on pc. probably never will. so it is of no concern to me. if you want what pc has then try it out maybe you will switch.

Something to note is that certain weapons don't return your crosshair to the position they were in before you fired. So sniping with a high recoil rifle gets a bit tricky because you have to drag your hand back to get back on target.

2 RepliesEdited by Zeroclass: 4/25/2018 6:14:38 PMPlay a FPS on PC and you will see why. Aiming with a mouse is by far a lot easier than with joysticks

Its called a mouse. Mouse beats controller for control everytime.

Finally somebody has brought this up, its absolutely ridiculous.

PC gets bonus stability when using mouse but less aim assist than a controller. Big reason why hand-cannon bloom is less intense on PC.

PC players can use the mouse to counteract recoil. its like flicking down the stick on a burst-shot to keep a tighter grouping, only a LOT more precise. FoV changes also account for a huge perception of "differences" on PC. game plays EXACTLY the same, but PC has better tools.

3 RepliesMouse compensates for it. After all, you only have to point at your targets.
