What's really sad is the amount of people that are self-entitled and are crying saying $20 is too much for the content we are getting, which in all reality we are getting more than enough for our monies worth, I could name several games where you get significantly less content for the same price

Dude, just check out Warframe. ALL of their content is 100% FREE! Fortnite is free too. This DLC is overpriced. But as for the companies that you’re talking about, if they charge more money for less content than a bland Destiny DLC, that is flat out robbery.

WArframe is boring as hell. Beginning and mid game is boring. Why would I sit there for 40 hours doing the same thing in the same areas that are just just re-skined maps just to get to end game? It's not fun to people who want to play a game. Warframe isn't a game, it's a chore.

And Destiny is different how? At least Warframe actually lets you customize tonnes of stuff and has a dizzying number of mechanics working under the hood with actual elemental damage and armor types. Oh and you can actually fly while riding a kind of jetpack and have epic space battles. But tell me more how grinding the same public events add nauseum, or praying to RNGesus when doing weekly events for gear that only matters in a single activity is so much better. At least The Division lets you farm anything you want, has tonnes of different modes, the most modern (and arguably best) progression system of any looter out there, regularly occring Global Events that offer immense rewards and change the gameplay up dramatically and oh yeah it doesn't take Massive 6 months to release 1 patch.

You're arguing a point that I never made dude. XD All I said is that warframe is boring because the gameplay is easy and you're repeating missions all over again. Not once did I ever compare the two. You spent time writing somthing that became invalid because I never said anything about destiny. Sure warframe has all these things, but if the core gameplay is boring then no one will want to play it. Simple as that. That's why nothing at many people play warframe. It's not a matter of "it's not for everyone" it's a matter of "can you withstand the endless chore that is warframe" If they fix the beginning an middle and add more interesting quest to the mid game then yeah it'd be fun but as of right now, it's boring as hell. No new comers want to play it because it's boring in the start game an mid game. You can add all this depth all you want but if there's no one to stick around then there's no point in all the depths.

I personally believe it’s because it’s not the main intention of the game. With CoD for example, I think we can mutually agree that it is a PvP oriented game. You say 3 PvP maps for CoD but that is really all the content that CoD needs to put in. If CoD added 3 new campaign mission, more to their PvE modes like Zombies, and maybe 1 or no new maps, I’m sure most people wouldn’t be too enthusiastic cause they are PvP players. I can’t speak for the CoD community cause I am personally not a huge fan of CoD but my point is that if D2 is getting PvP content over its intended PvE content, it’s a little frustrating. I’m playing Devil’s Advocate here but I’ll try to piece together what the other side wants to say. Idk if I made myself clear I hope I got my point across but TLDR Destiny was supposed to be a PvE game but ended up getting more PvP than it was originally intended. [spoiler]again I don’t really mind but I am trying to speak for the small guys here lol[/spoiler]

I remember when D1 came out and people complained about the dlc being too much for one strike, three PvP maps, new armor and weapons. At the same time COD was offering 3 maps for $10. I thought there was parity in cost. I made the comment that a movie ticket is $10 and you get 2 hours of entertainment so a second movie makes it even $20 and 4 hours of entertainment . Or buy the digital or blu ray of a movie for $20 and watch it as much as you care till bored. So then compare that entertainment and cost to the dlc and if you If you then got more than 4 hours of entertainment playing then you got your money’s worth in my view.

The issue is that you wouldn't watch the movie 3 or 4 different times in a different language. Sure it changes the movie but it doesn't change the fact that you are still watching the same thing 4 times. That's the thing with what they call content. They keep releasing reskin after reskin of "content" that they have already released. So what bungie is selling us is the movie in a different language. Honestly I got halfway through this and forgot what your original post was so I'm sorry if I got off topic. (probably to many analogies)

I think your comparison is flawed because watching a move 3 times in different languages means you get a difference but see the same movie is essentially the same as running the DLC missions on a Titan, warlock and Hunter. We both have done this as I see you have all three classes. I do agree that there needs to be more content from Bungie and FUN to keep players interested and the majority of players will agree that D2 and COO is worse than D1 in terms of fun and replay.

I brought up movie tickets to show cost and entertainment time comparison. $20 gets you 4-5 hours of 2 movies or one movie with popcorn/drink or ownership of a digital/blu Ray. $15 (I bought the season pass like a sucker >.<) will likely get me far more than 4-5 hours of play time. COO gave me over 40 hours of of entertainment for $15. However this was nothing compared to TDB which I got well over hundred hours from strike, pvp maps and the crota raid.

I’m own of the “suckers” who bought the season pass because I was on the hype train so the pass was $30 and each dlc is $15. Not saying it’s worth it but you asked for comparison games. Look at the latest CoD dlc. It’s a new map, new zombie chapter and new map mode for $15. I don’t think that’s worth it.

As someone said before CoD, Halo games, Basically any and all shooters made. Even some RPGs. Like Diablo. One new character and a few armor pieces. Best thing I can say about diablo is they at least give you tons of free content. Oh wait, so does Destiny as with D1 and D2 events. Doom for instance was $15-20 for one new weapon, demon and a level or two for multiplayer. Many games do the same thing. Most people just don’t notice it or refuse to
