Believe they said there are rewards, other than an emblem, that can only be attained that way.
Seems like a good grind for pvp. Will be interesting to see what you can earn, because not everyone will have the patience to do it.

Year there is other rewards and one of them is get a discount on an age of triumph shirt.

Supposedly, prestiging once gets you an ornament for the Crucible helmet and doing it twice gets you an exotic Ghost. Haven't heard anything else besides that.

I used to care about stuff like this in D1. I think the damage has been done and I just dont care any more.
