6 RepliesNo. In the same way Clownfish arent transgender, neither is Oryx/Auryx/Aurash. Its simply part of their life cycle.

In a sense, yes. According to the Book of Sorrows, he started out female (one of three sisters, including who we now know as Savathun and Xivu Arath) and during his/her growth & learning, and making the Hive what it is today, she went through a transformation and emerged as the male form we know him as. Her name was Aurash, then she changed to Auryx and then transitioned again into the Oryx that we know.

Pretty sure Oryx either has vagick or it’s just a mass of bone.
-
Sure.

11 RepliesSort of. Oryx was originally a princess whose name escapes me. Then the worms (Special Ahamkara) changes her into Auryx and eventually changed to Oryx. It’s all really cool lore that I wish they would expand upon and make more available through and in game codex or something. Really I’d take the grimoire back over this lore tabs thing that is so disconnected it’s not even funny.

3 RepliesSome creatures have the ability to switch sexes. Some species of fish do it. Aurash was female. Oryx was male.

8 RepliesOryx: 1) Was from foreign shores 2) Gender fluid 3) Had issues with addiction 4) Was in an abusive relationship with a worm 5) Practiced a different religion 6) Had issues with entitlement 7) Held a grudge 8) Dressed differently to the norm 9) Had a different skin pigmentation So we killed him with bullets. Just like we’ve killed everyone else. We even followed him home, broke in and killed him. That’s pre-meditated! So I ask you, who’s the most messed up :D Personally I think Guardians need to sit down and talk gun control and look at their foreign policy. Perhaps consider diplomacy as an option. #TakenKingLivesMatter
