So bungie should emphasize on working together to accomplish things and be rewarded for it. Instead of against each other. Isn't this what the raid is meant to do but it is still full of toxicity half of the time?

  • bungie should emphasise fun, and not make design choices that make one mistake kill the whole team - since this leads to the toxic attitude of intolerance for new players and casuals wanting to enjoy the raid, mistakes and errors, and allows some to feel self entitled, arrogant, and intolerant, and superior. the raids in D2 scream out to me 'if i can successfully raid im better than you who cannot.' on top of everything else. plus the required cooperation NEEDS voice or other comms, which provides the means for those who take it too seriously to grief others for not meeting their standards or wanting to use the same loadout as them, or whatever other reason that makes them think they are better.

  • of course another way to deal with this is separate out the elitist with a harder difficulty setting and a casual setting for others on the raid, which may also alter it to not need cooperation other than staying together, warlocks dropping healing circles and people respawning each other on death etc. so summary, you could fix it with a casual/new player version of the raid that just involves killing everything thats a threat including the boss (death doesnt mean party wipe), and a heroic version the toxic ones can do with the 'one death = party wipe' the same as now

  • D2 raids: if you die the whole group dies with you = collective punishment D1 raids: can die doing something for the team and the team can continue on without you depending on individual roles and still finish the encounter = altruism/hero moments.
