Yeah the game was poorly designed, that's obvious to anyone who's ever played D1 or D2.
But Bungie is not forcing toxicity from people on this forum.

Sorry, but I kinda have to agree with the OP. Part of this is on Bungie. All this [i]toxicity[/i] from the community is [i]bitterness[/i]. They are bitter because of Bungie's constant, poor design decisions. Even with constructive feedback; even when we tell them, clearly, how they can fix their game, Bungie will try and fix things in their own way, and ultimately screw it up, time, and time again. They always say they're listening, but they're not.

i think the point is, if you encourage assholeism, then more of them happen? if you deter it, there is less of it. but there will always be some like that.

Well a poorly made game, especially a sequel, comes with the byproduct of toxicity, salt, and distrust between the developer and the community. Let’s not forget nerf post and the casuals for being the targeted market. At the end of the day, Bungie is ultimately responsible for what they do with the game. It’s 40% if the community’s fault and 60% Bungie’s fault.

I think you're oversimplifying it. We aren't talking about Bungie being a dick once and people acting like animals. We are talking about systemic disrespect occurring over several years. It doesn't matter if you agree about whether or not disrespect has truly occurred. Many people believe it has and they are reacting according to human nature.
