So I’ve beaten Papa Gohns and tbh he was a piece of cake. I just spammed Molotovs during the second half of the fight. About 3 Molotovs did the job, and he died. Now I’m at cathedral ward, and I gotta say, this game is pretty amazing.
Anything I should know from here on out? Should I be looking for a new weapon? Should I thoroughly explore the area before going into Old Yharnam?
Also, do the bosses respawn? I spawn in at their spawning point, yet they don’t seem to appear. Do you have to enter their spawn points from a separate lamp?
Edit: So I’ve reached Old Yharnam. What do? I’ve got the ritual blood, and I saw a hella big thing lying in that room with all the ghouls worshipping it. How do I summon the blood beast thing?

5 RepliesSo how're you doing so far? I don't mind lending a hand or tips on any area.

1 ReplyNever fear that giant blood beast hanging from the cieling is just for decor.

Bosses don’t respawn

11 RepliesSo, there’s a door behind the blood.

8 RepliesThat's right about where I'm at now. I'll say this Big weapon for Big enemies.

6 RepliesDid you get the set of armour just outside the Oeden Chapel yet? If you havent, stand where the armour was located for a couple seconds and you'll get a reward.

16 RepliesBosses do not respawn. In rare cases other enemies might spawn in their arenas durin certain events. As for what you should know? Well, I’m mostly for going blind, but there is one tidbit I wish I knew.
There are two ways into the next area. The first is a special key you buy in the Dream for 10,000 Echoes, the other is a hidden passage.
And, another spoilery tip.
Old Yharnam actually leads to two other optional areas. One’s not accessible until finding a late-game key, but the other involves dying to a certain enemy that only appears after Old Yharnam’s cleared.
I can be more detailed if you want, but I still recommend avoiding tips!

1 ReplyAre you playing online? Read all the other player messages left in the world. They often give great hints and directions to secret areas. Explore every corner and speak to every NPC multiple times. There’s a lot of secrets in Bloodborne. As for weapons, you can use any weapon you like for the whole game. I used the hunters axe for my first playthrough from start to finish. Use whatever you like.
