Does destiny 1 still have a good amount of players for me to buy it? I'm a destiny 2 player but heard destiny 1 is much better. I will only buy D1 if it has good amount of players and still gets updated every now and again.

im not a year 1 d1 player as everyone says but im a y2 and back then the game was full you could find a heck of alot of lfg for a raid or specifc strike u need such as S.A.B.E.R for sleeper But D2 has let me down in the first 2 years so i went back and found my d1 disk i reinstalled all the content back onto my xbox and i had a blast from the past. storyline was great, dlcs meant something such as having rise of iron for ghally or finishing most of Rise of iron to unlock Wrath But id say its still active if your looking for a raid to do. Lfg's start dying around 2 or 3 days after reset but a day after reset i see over 70+ lfgs but content wise d1 took it

A lot of people have been saying that D1 is dead, but let me tell you, I went back to it and it still has tons of players. Not as many as D2, but still a good amount. Once you get D1, you'll never wanna go back to D2 until the next time they add something new, and even then you'll wanna go back to D1. Don't listen to anyone who says D1 is dead at least until D3 is out, because right now, D1 is offering the best content.

1 ReplyI lost a lot of my loot in destiny 1, I used to be addicted to the game so I logged back in and half my shit was gone. I dont know how to get it back. Besides that d1 will always be the better destiny. I miss those raid days

1 ReplyI used to be a huge destiny 1 fan and I still am. I love destiny more than d2 l. It doesn't normally get updates but if there are gonna be updates it would probably be bug fixes or something of the sort. There are still quite a phew people who play the game but I would pronounce the game as dead. It takes about 30 seconds or more for crucible and for strikes it takes me about thirty minutes to find at least 1 person. I hope they make destiny 3 exactly like destiny 1 except they continue the story from the ending of d1. But to answer the question. The game is very dead.

1 ReplyEdited by Kiyoshi-Prime: 4/20/2018 3:17:06 PMDestiny 1 still has a great , strong following....more players are returning to the original every week, whether it be in the form of new D2 players such as yourself or returning D1 veterans, and you only need to check out the D1 forum and the FIND FIRETEAM - DESTINY 1 to see just how active the game still is. I play Destiny 3-4 times a week, I'm a year 1 vet and still have quests i can complete and exotics i can chase...not to mention the raids alone with the array of gear that you can obtain, and change the appearance of is another reason why I strongly recommend you should purchase. And the D1 weapons leave anything D2 has in the dust! If you like D2....You'll love D1!. Just remember to buy the vanilla game + all expansions. Good luck Guardian!

Edited by GhostDog: 4/20/2018 11:51:56 PMI played D2 first & bought the D1 collection on Xbox & have been loving it & I posted on the form & had alot of ppl saying they'll play with me, on just trying to get my light up first only at 170 haha but you'll have fun as with the whole collection you have alot of story missions to go through & on Xbox community theirs a ton of ppl looking for games that's Xbox tho can't speak for PS4 mine got stolen years ago, also honestly I've had more fun with the missions, ot also makes things in D2 make sense, the gear is better (can't wait to get gjallarhorn), I wish they had of stuck with the 10 year plan cuz D2 is probably cut content from D1 really let's be honest they should of just released a D1 PC version with all the D2 content in D1..now that would of been sick

3 RepliesNot so much in crucible but otherwise yes. I started a clan 3 weeks ago and have 86 members. More and more players are going back or starting d1

I'd say it's an even split between D1 and D2 right now on either platform. Don't listen to whoever said lfg is barren. Don't know where they're looking but xb and ps lfgs for D1 here are both still pretty active

16 Repliesnot really. in crucible, I get matched up with the same players almost every day, and even when I leave a lobby I usually end up joining the same one the next game (mostly thanks to sbmm). Some playlists like rift are completely dead too. I think you'll have an easier time to find a match in 3v3 and rumble though since lobbies are smaller, but to be fair I haven't tried them in a while As for raids, lfg is also looking pretty barren. Even if you manage to get an invite, it's near impossible to get full fireteam of 6 (and even if you find a full team, chances are they're not very experienced). On the other hand, it seems like strike playlists are very much alive. the few times I went into a playlist i found a team pretty quickly. And no, D1 stopped getting updates almost a year ago, and most likely will never get updated ever again.
