Opinions on Machina Dei 4 pulse rifle
Now, I'm no way comparing this to the meta PvE kinetic guns (origin story, better devils etc) but, it seems like a lot of people seem to be sleeping on this gun.
While I definitely don't rate it as top tier, it can definitely do some pretty sweet damage and the more multi kills you get, the more rounds you have in your next magazine. I've been using it a little since the pulse rifle update and (for PvE at least) I must say that I'm pretty impressed with its damage output and utility. It's a nice change of pace from the same old same old. Would just like you guys to add your thoughts on the matter. Hot or Not? All opinions welcome
Edit: Up until now I haven't really been using pulse rifles that much in PvE (I prefer hand cannon/auto rifle with scout rifle combination. I'm looking to change that. So, does anybody know of any pulses that perform as good as, or better than the Vigilance Wing or Machina Dei in PvE. I have tried the nightshade, and although it's a fine gun to use, I don't think it really comes close to the two I've mentioned above. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hope it keeps up.[/quote] Just got this gun, been slacking on Osiris endgame stuff, so i made a trip there and acquired this gun. Does really good in Crucible. I'm loving it so far.

It feels really good and since the buff has become my new favorite mid/long range weapon. Perks could be better but with the buff to Dragonfly, it can really clear some mobs. With the 6v6 IB I've gotten some good explosions too. Makes you want them to be holding each other's hand!

4 RepliesThree Graves is the same type as Machina, though more accurate from what I can remember and my personal favourite gun. The only problem is that it’s a Dead Orbit weapon.

1 ReplyHere’s a hidden gem. Perk wise you tend to not give it a second look. Once you try it you will be pleasantly surprised. The gun feels very similar to Hawksaw and PDX45 from D1. The gun is called Impromptu-49. Give it a try.

14 RepliesEystein D is a sleeper. Autumn wind and nightshade are exactly adequate. Lincoln Green for long range I probably dismantled Machina dei and Infinite paths. I never really cared for pulses until now. I am currently interested though, and looking for the right one.

I've been trying the Cadenza-43 and I do enjoy that one quite a bit in both PvE and PvP. Since the weapon buffs, Pulses have become increasingly popular and they were one of the most lackluster weapons before the Go Fast Update. EDIT: Graviton Lance feels pretty good now too since it did get the rate of fire buff along with the pulse damage buffs. I like it in PvE and PvP, and surprisingly it does well in PvP.

The high impact pulses are good, but often you'll just find yourself wishing you were using something that spits out lead more frequently.
