Don't increase the drop rate for DFA

Please don't! I know how easy you guys kneel to the cry babies. I didn't get the Gally till a week before xur sold and the nerf but I still grind every activity with 3 characters since December after D1 launch. In my opinion, the endogenous value of our gear is what's missing in destiny. So let them cry because as you can see when you streamline progression it kills the experience. Edit: We can't let only one side be the voice. Their cries are very loud. Edit: Thanks Cozmo for letting us know that you're listening to all sides.
100% keep it the way it is, actually add 2 items to each strike

... the loot has to be worth the grind if its not people aren't going to be happy.

Yep. Keep it rare please. It's more fun that way

...it was what kept me logging in. • I have no problem with RNG. I never even tried grinding for the gun yet. My only gripe with RNG was mostly for weapon rolls. I thought that was too much. Sure it kept you playing and hunting. But why do we grind? To get the loot we want. Sometimes with RNG it's not the case. I can farm exotics for days and have no issue. RNG isn't bad nor does it need to go. But I thought with random rolls there should have been an alternative way to grind for the right rolls besides waiting for RNG to give it to you. It could have been a really lengthy grind too. I wouldn't have cared. I would have got gunsmith rep to 100 if it guaranteed a god roll luna.

Appreciate the feedback. We'll keep an eye on the conversation. We want rewards to feel like they are worth the time invested in obtaining them.

Yes. Add 1 gun and 1 armor piece to each heroic strike. Make it a little easier to obtain for nightfalls. Also raise the score requirement for the aura to 100k. Add in nightfall rewards screen at the end of nightfall. Thank you

My friends would get the DROP and still get on the next day to help me get it that is DESTINY'S community at it's finest "DON"T STOP TILL EVERYONE GETS IT". These new Specific rewards need to stay RARE although having more than one would be pretty BALLER.

        • Agreed, -blam!- the cry babies. I don't have the gun, did the NF 7 times and couldn't get it. Don't increase the drop rate for any thing, in fact, I think Bungie should make it harder to get. Never, never, ever cater to the cry baby bitches.

          • All I see right now is "I have the gun, the only gun to 3 tap at incredible ranges as a hand cannon... So make it harder to get because if other people got it, I would lose more in PvP" Honestly wtf does it matter, increasing it doesn't hurt you, if you're a pve main you should want your team to have it and if your a PvP main, you just want it for yourself. You can't say other people are being whiney if your really the one being whiney. Anyways. Exotics are the things that should be hard to get. Quests. Like before. You guys been just releasing them and letting luck be it. Let skill define who has what weapons. Remember when the thorn was either a lucky draw or that quest where you had to kill that cyclops and I believe a extra boss without dying? (I can't remember details) But make something like that for the best of the best weapons. Trials has good weapons but to get them you gotta 1 be lame and let your clan do it 2 kick butt. So.. as I said.. top gear = hard rewards, not hard luck.

            • To those complaining about RNG in general, You have apparently never played a destiny game in which this entire game is based off RNG, it"s a shoot-to-loot. The game is meant for the ability to replay it over and over again otherwise known as "Grinding". Without the randomness the event and prize therefore become stale. RNG is not a bad thing you're just lazy. For those who just get angry and want to insult me for my opinion on RNG, instead of replying to this post take your 2 IQ points, rub them together, and see if you can make a fire.

until the rise of iron came out and they made the iron gjallarhorn an dlc exclusive for those who purchased the dlc to obtain it but came with an catch they made it alongside the thorn as exotic quests to grind for them also was so easy to complete them but both quests leaned towards the crucible path either by completing matches or doing scan and defence hoard modes within the crucible maps and that was for the iron gjallarhorn but the base version you got via the postmaster but most exotics are easy enough to get apart from the quest exotics but the rest are dumbed down and somebody crying in the comment section via youtube want the nightfall exotics that are unique to that nightfall to be placed in skeleton chests ala destiny 1 unknown player said that after 86 runs of the tree of probabilities nightfall that MoreConsole never got the DFA hand cannon but lucky enough to get the exotic sparrow in this weeks one but you make things hard people complain then you make them easy then others complain you just can't win either way. • I didn’t even attempt to farm for the DFA, not after farming for the ghost. I complete 40 or more Nightfalls the previous week for that Exotic ghost. I completed 17 Prestige Nightfalls in one night, averaging 70k scores and didn’t get one. I had multiple people join and get one after the first couple runs. I understood taking a while to get a shader or sparrow from raids, as we only had three chances per week. I ran raids for the fun of it and ended up in the top 1,000 players of D1 for raid completions. I can’t say that beating my head against the nightfall grind has any appeal. It just pisses me off, to be completely honest.

              • I agree they should not increase the drop for DFA. Many players grinded that NF for hours to get that weapon. To increase the drop rate would basically say you wasted your time. It was fun having something to chase for. Going in, I accepted the fact that I may not get the gun despite numerous runs. It is up to the player to determine the cost/benefit for themselves. Now if they want to increase drop rates or come up with a different type of grind for new NF exclusives, then I would be ok with that.

              • Having some stingy RNG is fine if the end result is worth it. If the item is mediocre, then you've just wasted my time.

              • I am all for grinding to get good gear, but having it solely based on RNG is just stupid. its not a grind, its a lottery. Let there be a grind, but let it be meaningful, let there be a finite amount of it. A good example was the grind for the Forge weapons, or even the IB ornaments. At least with those you had a decent idea of how much time you were going to have to invest to complete them and could decide if it was worth it or not. Or the raid ghost... at least your chances increased each time you didn't get it to drop. We need reasons to log in and play, but those reasons don't have to be tied to pure RNG lottery drops. The point is if you regularly play the game, are decent at it, then you should be able to get the gear you're hunting with a reasonable amount of time investment. I know people who never got the Jade Rabbit in D1 until Xur sold it after D2 launched. That's just stupid considering they regularly played the game for over 2 years.

              • Nah. Banging your head against bad Nightfall RNG just for a fixed roll hand cannon isn't the good kind of grinding that should be celebrated. D1's grinding was multi-faceted. You had skeleton keys, strike exclusives, Gunsmith packages... all tied together with the pursuit of god rolls. It made loot-chasing interesting and pushed the whole game forward.

                • Grinding nightfalls is AIDS. Strike specific loot should be in a skeleton chest, have random rolls, and be available in the the strike playlists.

                • I agree with keeping it rare, but what do you have to say to the people that smash their heads against the wall for 100 nightfalls and have nothing to show for it? there has to be some limit to the rng. watching other people get it their first or second try is infuriating. Seeing the people you run with get it, and then watching them leave you to grind for it by yourself is a painful feeling. the grind should be progressive, not completely random. there should be a fixed point at which you are guaranteed to get it.

                  • So you play D1 grinding same $hit over and over and over only to get the weapon you coveted just before it's turned into a vault decoration. And you're happy about it. That just doesn't make any sense. If I'm going to grind for something. A.) Hopefully the grind is entertaining. B.) I'd like to be able to use and enjoy said weapon after finally obtaining it.

                    • Here's a compromise... repeated iterations of the mission where you get it increase the chance of getting the best reward. So, it's still a grind, but there are a few judicious limits on how long you can be forced to grind.

                      • I do think that the drop rate shouldn't be increased but they should make a system where, the more times you play the nightfall back-to-back, the drop rate slowly increases. I did that nightfall, 4 hours straight every day and never got it to drop. I'm so sick of running through that strike now it isn't even funny. I have every line of dialogue HAMMERED INTO MY FREAKING SKULL NOW. I like that D2 now has a grind and carrots to chase but, after a while, It just get's frustrating.

                      • I *strongly* agree -- increasing the drop rate would water down the value and provide a slap in the face for those who already farmed it. I wish they'd consider the following: Add multiple strike specific items so you have a chance of getting something vs. tokens & blues -- even if you don't get the rarest available which is the Death From Above in this case. A weighed knockout modifier for RNG so that RNGesus The True Almighty, will consider that you have all but one from the loot pool and provide a better chance of obtaining the missing loot. Finally, the more you run the strike unsuccessfully, the better chance you have for the strike specific loot to drop -- of course, this value resets on drop. For instance, the RNG drop chance will increase by 0.5% each time you run the strike on a specific character without receiving the loot and resetting once the loot has been obtained.
