Night stalker tether

Bungie please if the tether will not kill on hit please allow it to tether enemies immediately. The increase of speed to other supers makes tether almost worthless in intense PVP combat. Perhaps shorten the range of the anchors but allow them to stick immediately when enemies are near by. Even if you guys shortened the amount of time the tether last and allow it to tether enemies immediately that is still fine. The tether must branch out immediately that’s all I ask for. EDIT: Just wanted to add this. In the current terrain of destiny 2 pvp the nightstalker is a weaker class in comparison to the other classes. The class offers great utility abilities but even those have been nerfed. As far as the super itself it needs a overhaul. I don’t know many people who even use the bottom tree of nightstalker. The top tree has great utility but the super is weak in pvp. They need to look at the nightstalker and make some adjustments to it as a whole. I don’t want it to be OP. Some changes need to be made to make the super itself viable in PVP. Additionally in the PVE the lack of increase DPS for Raid boss encounters should be looked at.

  • Bottom tree needs to return to Destiny levels where you get 3 void shots (ooh, wild hunt 😼) that can actually kill an opponent and where the tether shot doesn’t launch you in the air so you can be shredded before your tether even hits (seen this happen far too often to my teammates). I run much more gunslinger and pole dancer bc of this. I love lockdown and invisi nades on the bottom tree but the multi arrows are awful imo...

        • Instant tether on Hit is great, anything else is stupid. Nightstalker’s Power is in its damage boost. Use it on a group of enemies and easily win team fights.

        • I think it would be interesting if the tether on direct hit to an opponent turned them into an instant “anchor” and any teammates that are next to him, walk, or run past him, would GET the tether “leashes” and suppression. Basically the person you hit with the tether wouldn’t be able to walk or move on direct hit, but make it a separate pathway to where if you kill the “anchor” it doesn’t pass the damage around to the others who are tethered on leashes (one option/suggestion). It would be used to slow a team down and not necessarily an offensive super? Defense. It would take a little more skill because you don’t get the free kill unless you shoot them, melee, grenade all separately. (Second suggestion) Or you could even make the “anchor guy” be in a “black hole suppression” and he is the only one who CAN’T be killed, just anchored. It’d all have to be tested to see what would work in a more live environment of course. Nothing is ever conceptually perfect.

          • Shadows hit is supposed to be used as a trap that ensnares enemies, slow enemy movement and to suppress any super or ability usage. If it killed in one shot all the things I listed above would be useless. [spoiler]If you want to be able to one shot with a super just switch to golden gun and stop whining [/spoiler]

            • Use the quiver as a trap, not an attack. I run top tree and just use it as a territory control option. Works fine for me.

            • Tether should cause constant damage to everything that's caught in it, being able to walk free without damage is insane as ALL other supers cause damage. It's only good for creating orbs in pve now

              • I think the tether is just fine the way it is, and this is coming from someone who regularly loses his super to the tether. That being said there is something extremely satisfying about taking away a freshly unleashed super.

                  • I’d be with you on that if smokes werent pretty strong as well as the hunters ability having a short cooldown. Although it should instantly suppress a mid super guardian on impact instead of taking a moment

                    • I was running a night stalker with the perkset that includes quiver. I fired three of the bloody things INFRONT of a smash Titan and he ran past them before the stupid things activated. Needles to say my hunter got arc smashed into oblivion both times.

                    • My biggest issue with the tether is it’s poo in pvp however the other perks of nightstalker make up for this, the invisibility is way more useful than tether two grenades👍🏻 but if this is the hunters super how come the Titan has a grenade which in theory is a super ??!?!

                    • Let's face it tether is pretty weak PVE and PVP. PVE captains will just walk out. They need to shorting the animation a tiny bit. They should extend the tether distance a tiny bit. I think I little bit of an ajustment would go a long way.

                      • I will agree with this but only if the extreme flinch is removed from getting tethered. So fukin annoying. You have a .1 chance of doing anything once youre tethered.

                          I honestly wish they brought back the damage booster when you tethered someone.

                        • Yep, this. If I pull of hitting someone with it directly, they should die...okay, they won’t do that? Fine, can it not take an hour to activate after I pull off a quick arrow to save my team? In a fast pace game it just doesn’t work. You have to line up your shot, the animation takes a long time, it has to land, then an even longer delay before it tethers. Lame.

                          • Ive posted my feedback about how bungie has nerfed the hunter to give the other characters the advantage in pvp. They nerfed invisibility, numerous exotics are useless because of that nerf, and they also nerfed the tether. The tether is useless if it doesnt tether immediately. Its not even a one hit kill which is dissapointing. These biased nerfs need to stop and there needs to be a standard of ethics when making changes to the game. This is good business for those in power and bad reception for the worthy consumer. Not those with pathetic egos that call valid feedback whining or throw the get gud phrase. Those type of people just spread hatred and contribute no collective efficacy. Its sad.

                              • Straight up shadowshot vs any other super will lose. Dont look at it like golden gun or arcstrider. Look at it like a grenade or melee, its utility ability. Night stalker is a support class. Watch team movement, plant tether behind enemy team. Shoot.. On the side note What happened to the other support classes for lock and titans? Tactical play mixed up the game play.
