I need a tutorial for forge. My number one question is how do you snap items together? Anyone?

 •
Posted by: H3LLSLING3R Ok this may be stupid but it actually works. YOu see its the zombie spawn that messes you up. What you do is get a starting point make it blue team for the infected then go to advanced and make it inv-haven or somthing like that. and if you make it on a platform or a block you need to make it asymetrical. It took me a while to figure it out If you down load the map halo for the game variant halo go into forge and check the settings on the blue team starting spawn and red team is un infected.
Awesome thanks for the info! I was wondering how to get this to work as well.

 • Ok well when you edit coordinates it doesn't really move it by that coordinate it moves it to that coordinate so if you want to keep two blocks on a even hight keep them at thesame number of hieght on the coordinate. I hope that helps

 •
Posted by: PainRelief1
Posted by: KillingKillaman Do you know how to make infection level it always never works
You have to change the gametype in Forge from "Basic Editing" to "Infection".
And then make sure that atleast one object in your map has the label "inf_haven" attached to it - even if your gamemode doesn't use safe havens. • The new forge at first was a little dissapointing, but it got better and better, the only problem I have now is that when i am done making my map on forge on the infection gametype I go to custom games and it says that infection is not compatible with forge world, also the other maps dont have anything to build with, could someone please help me figure out how to fix this.My GT is Kidlebleu2.

 • All you have to do to place object perfectly together, is to grab the object, press B and choose edit coordinates. Place it to the right height and spin it to your spot... (Just remember not to move up or down after editing coordinates.) Set the next piece to the same height using B, edit coordinates and spin it to fit in place. (I usually keep my snap a 5 degrees.) After you've got it place perfectly level together, grab it from above and line the objects together.... Hope this helps. Check a map I made in my file share.... I used the edit coordinates on every piece in it. [Edited on 09.23.2010 10:52 PM PDT]

 • I agree! I would love to snap objects together to make solid connections. I'd also like to group objects (snapped or unsnapped) so when I get half way through building a multi-piece bridge and realize "oops it doesn't line up" i can just move the entire set piece. The last feature I couldn't figure out was undo (if there is one) I had built out an entire building then accidentally deleted it, thinking i was holding a spawn point i was trying to delete, next thing I know all my physics based set pieces are crashing down around me and I had to rebuild the whole thing since I couldn't find an UNDO option.

 • i love the new forge, even if it is going to take some time to get use too, the features are great, specially the way you orbit around the object your holding, phasing and fixed, and everything else! i respect your opinion though :D

 • i'll admit that the new forge is difficult to get used to. So far i would rather have H3 forge with a few things added in
