Nightfall rewards are still awful
I’ve not played regularly in a while but I’ve come back the 3 or 4 weeks and ran the nightfalls, haven’t got one single piece of the new loot and neither have the guys I’ve ran with. Tonight on my final character(my hunter at 335)my only reward was a 325 set of arms, screw your game and your ridiculous rng.
Edit: The point of all this is the fact that the update was delayed because they said they “wanted time to get things right” clearly they didn’t use that time wisely as these weapons are pretty much reskins. The sniper is clearly a forge weapon, the hand cannon is just the strum with a short barrel. Getting off track, the point is these rewards are awful and you shouldn’t have to grind 16 nightfalls to get them, if they were in regular strikes....ok I’ll grind for them but not nightfalls, it’s just a poor attempt to get players to come back and keep us playing imo.

omg its bad its a thursday whn i post this, ive been grinding the nf since reset on tues whn i hve time 2 ply and nothing else on the game and hve had people come and go getting it and 1 person who had gotten 3 in matter of ten or so runs meanwhile other people who hve spent days and 100s of runs hvent gotten it. it is broken as hell and needs to be addresed.

1 ReplyAlmost 60 runs of the nightfall and nothing! Ran with friends who got it three times in a row with me in the fire team. The randomness of the loot drop needs to be fixed. If someone in the fire team has it already it should go to someone who does not have it. I like the grind but this week was ridiculous. I wasted 2-4 hours a night for nothing. The other weeks I got it within 10 runs. The one week I actually want it I get nothing. Please fix this. Almost everyone I play with got it multiple times and I got nothing😠😡🤬🤯

Personally I like the fact I don't just do it and get the reward. It's nice to have a little bit of a grind back and the 3 weapons are pretty decent, I'm not saving it solves the end game loot issues as it doesn't but specific and rare lot should be a thing in all activities.

RNG is fine but rewards are still awful courtesy of balance. My 2 cents.

3 RepliesI’ve got all 3 NF items thus far. 20 runs for sniper, 15 runs for ghost and 12 for the hand cannon. Pretty much a 50-50 split between normal and prestige. The grind is real. I do believe that RNG should factor in the drop but I also believe that a players chance to receive the drop should increase after each attempt. Keep grinding.

1 ReplyThe problem is that no one needs it. Loot is easy af to get, whilst having no value. The only real loot to earn is the nf specific loot, but those are rarer then the nanopheonix.... k, maybe not that rare.

The exclusive loot In my experience for the past three weeks only likes to drop once You have all three emblems. Once I got that 3rd emblem it was only a few more tries before I got the loot. Not sure if it's true but it's how it seems.

Not everyone can dedicate that much time during one specific week to farm for a mediocre drop. Let’s face it, most of this loot isn’t even special anyway. Loot like this should be in the heroic strike playlist so people can drop on/out at their own convenience for a chance at these drops. The nightfalls need something else.

Spent 15 hours running nightfalls this week for it and still nothing. Im so sick of Bungies shit at this point. We wanted a reason to play, not some artificial grind that just has you repeating the same thing over and over and over again for some shitty blue drops.

Rng not working your way aside. We got 3 guns lol. The other loot was probably just pulled from the war minds dlc loot box pool of items. I guess the guns look good, not really interesting looking to me but they are new..... and not really better then anything we already have again

If you haven’t gotten any of the Nightfall loot, how do you know it’s awful? That literally makes no sense. The hand cannon is a beast & was totally worth the 12 runs I had to do to get it.

I think I got it on the 5th run. Score was around 70000-75000 each run.

Honestly it will be obsolete with the next dlc, nerf, sand box change. They might need it into oblivion like hopscotch pilgrim which I grinned for 2 weeks of strikes and spent all my resources rerolling. Then poof, is hey killed the gun. They’ll do it again so I won’t grind for stuff unless I’m truly bored. It happens but like I’m not likely to do whatever you have to do to get and fully upgrade that raid exotic shotgun. It just feels tedious to me.

I posted to off last night but got no response after an hour. I tried to solo it but got destroyed at the boss without any heavy ammo and having to wait five minutes for a super to regen. I had to work early so I gave up at the boss. I almost got out of the first room but but got killed on some BS.

I just wish the "artists" would have put actual effort into the Strike loot designs. None of them have any design features related to the Strikes, or Strike bosses, whatsoever. Not like in D1. Not like the Does Not Bow, or the Devil's Dawn from D1. We don't even get any armor like the Cloak of Taniks, or the Theosylon Vibrissae Gauntlets.
