We don't pay a subscription, we are not paying for a service. Stop being stupid.

You don't even properly own the game, though, just access to their servers, which will block you out of any chunk of the game if you stop paying for their seasonal updates.

I don't think i'm being stupid, you have paid to use their servers haven't you? IB is a monthly activity included with your purchase is it not? You are unable to have access to that part of their service. There is a very good reason why we don't pay a sub for this particular IP!

Let’s say you bought the game and season pass for £90 at launch, that’s £7.50 a month for 12 months, you can add any microtransactions to that also. This absolutely is a service, this is how the industry is going right now.

You can't compare it to a subscription or a service. It is not charging a monthly fee on top of the purchase price. Destiny literally costs the same at launch as a WoW expansion. Destiny is actually pretty damn cheap compared to other AAA games though. Most other games in the standard bracket are offline and have the same 8-10 hour campaign with only DLC after that if any.

I’m not trying to be rude but you are so so wrong on every level. Iron banner, monthly. Seasons, however long they are. “Endgame” content which is designed to keep you coming back. Always online, this means servers and manpower. Trust me the price of the game and season pass not to mention “season pass 2” in the fall is considered by Activision/bungie as a subscription.
