What "DisturbedShitty" said. This community is ridiculous. You really think they only discovered this now? They've probably known about it for weeks and have been furiously trying to fix it. Reproducing some bugs can be incredibly challenging, especially in a game the size and complexity of Destiny. They probably only now came to the conclusion they wouldn't be able to fix it in time and are now letting us know in good faith. Seriously, you're just impossible to please.

  • Probably because there shouldnt be a problem with putting back a mode that should never have been removed in the first place just like 100 other things they screwed us over with.

  • That would be fine, but think of it this way, remember the PC bans because of some side thing that didn't matter? Warframe/Digital Extremes had a similar issue with player bans, acknowledged it, and fixed it sooner than Bungo ever did. I don't even think they fixed or compensated the PC players that were wrongfully banned, just the usual "well, too bad, nothing we can do.*shrug*". The Warframe team/DE only consists of a couple hundred people, I'm sure that's waayy less than Bungie, and yet they communicate with players and solves issues better and faster. I love Destiny, I want it to be good, but's it's a steaming pile right now, I have absolutely have no hope for D3, no intention on getting it unless they take their time and truly deliver.

If they knew about it for weeks then why did the wait until now to tell us?

Probable like all bugs, they were working on getting it sorted. They missed the cutoff window and only now need to announce what the issue is. Because I doubt this was the only bug they were trying to fix. Do you also want to have heard about multiple other potentially bad issues that did actually get fixed and are now not even relevant to know about?

Because they know exactly how judgmental this community can be at times, and they were/are actively trying to fix the bug. They knew that as soon as they mentioned a bug had been found people would jump on them and whine, like is happening right now. They probably believed it was possible they'd fix it in time, and then IB could go on without anyone having been riled up in the first place. Imagine what would have happened if they'd said three weeks ago that this IB would be postponed. People would complain, like they are now. And then imagine if they'd fixed the bug and later had to say, oh nevermind, we got it. They'd just invite another round of whining, because that's what this community loves to do. I don't believe for a second the response would be, "Oh great! Thanks for working so hard to fix that!" Instead it would have been, "Typical bungo, can't even get a delay right." You also have to forget what you think you know about the timing. When they say late-breaking it probably means late in their development cycle. We have no idea what that means in calendar days. All they're doing is being honest about the problem.

  • Sadly no matter how right you are, getting through to those people will not work. As long as they have keyboards to hide behind, these people will complain and act tough all they want and won’t ever change.
