Likely, they’ve known about this issue for weeks and I guarantee that they had a window of time in which they could say, “passed testing, we can get this in” and I bet that window ended today.
So, come on people. There are legit reasons to be pissed at Bungie, but this isn’t one of them.
This is what a responsible, transparent company does.
The alternative is that they “ship it” with a known bug which is much worse.

no, the alternative is large developers like Bungie are held accountable for launching finished games without informing the consumer. whether it be legal ramifications or whatever. The industry has to change and we are watching it in real time 2018.

They shipped the entire game unfinished...so now they are great cos they arent doing it with iron banner...get real.
-
I'm calling bullshit, how long have they been working on bringing back 6v6? How long do they need? I mean com on

Yes it is you absolute idiot because it should never have been removed in the first place... Just like special weapons, self res for warlocks, choosing your crucible mode, ammo synths, actual skill trees, random rolls, static armour perks that actually make a difference, removing the extra grenade from sunbracers (seriously wtf???), heroic modifiers, iron banner leveling system (lvl 1-5 incuding lvl rewards), actual ornaments, being able to stay alive indefinitely even if a fireteam member dies with you in a raid, a choice to use elementary primaries if you want, the 4 good raids that were all better than EoW & Leviathan, exotic questlines, armsday, space magic, heavy machine guns, strikes with boss fights that arent just small circular arenas, permanent factions, daily heroic missions, all planets and locations already in D1... and probably heaps of other things i cant think of atm.

They were not “removed”. They may not have been brought forward from D1, and that may well have been bad judgment, but they are all features that never existed in D2. As such, even re-imlementing things that existed in the previous game is “adding new features” to the current game and carries the usual risk of bugs cropping up. Honest to God, some people’s opinions here sickens me. Bungie get raked over the coals for some fo D2’s direction and people demand that old features get reintroduced. And when the attempts to do so hit the sadly inevitable “we found bugs” stage of software development, people still bitch at them for not having “got it right” in the first place. No kidding. That is why they are doing some of these updates. But if you want major changes, you cannot expect things to go off without a hitch. Wish? Hope? Yes! Expect? No!

They were fine releasing mayhem with a warlock glitch. Or the promethazine lens with a glitch. Or hunter quiver glitch.
-
They weren’t fine, they got tons of shit, and now that they’re doing the right thing they’re still getting shit. If you’re Bungie and pushing out buggy content gets the same blowback from your community as postponing something to get it right, what are you going to do in the future? This was the correct move, communicated properly with plenty of notice.
-
Exactly. Bungie: Oops, we shipped this new feature with a major bug. Community: Don’t do it again. Test it more and delay if necessary. ——- Bungie: We are delaying a feature so it doesn’t go live with a major bug. Community: WTF? It’s not like you haven’t shipped buggy features before,

Edited by tre11style: 4/7/2018 10:59:22 AMThey aren’t getting grief for communicating. Yes the communication is the right move. They are getting grief because a system that they had working for three years, now they can’t get right? Get a clue.
