I know you got to do what you got to do to make the game you got to make. I understand it’s not just my personal game either.
I just hope someone fights for what (I think) makes D2 awesome! and adds upon and improves what can make a better “Destiny” game...
... like a PvE where Supers are finally doing big damage numbers to endgame bosses across all three classes. Or, if you spec for it, Supers that take on as many Ads as the game can throw at ya. And the new Class abilities that change how we think about and engage with encounters.
... an “Armor transmog-ish” System that finally gives us the freedom to look how we want and spec loadouts how we want with Mods and Masterwork cores as well as some invested time and planning on the player’s part. If I want to spec my Raid Set for a PvP melee build... I can finally do that without grinding months for an entirely new RNG determined 100% melee rolled set that I may never get.
... and Weapon Mods that give us a way to equip any elemental damage burn on our favorite energy and power weapons whenever the Nightfall or even PvP calls for it (lookin at the Riskrunner). I can only dream about how Mods can get better and I hope they do.
... or a Crucible that rewards more crits than body shots, and isn’t (wasn’t) entirely flooded with Power ammo, but, didn’t water-down Power Weapon potency either. And it’s a crucible that isn’t afraid to reward unique playstyles, like Fighting Lion, or Vigilance Wing.. or Tractor Cannons for booping; or a crucible that rewards thoughtful consideration when spec-ing Armor and Weapon loadouts for different maps and team comps.
I hope these things are considered and stay at the core of what makes D2 a great Destiny game.
