We've invited many content creators, but we've also made sure to cover bases on things like PvE, Raids, Lore, etc.
• Some of the members who were invited to the Community Summit play Destiny 2 daily, and we're excited to hear their feedback. • Some of the members who were invited to the Community Summit stopped playing Destiny 2 a while ago - which isn't necessarily a bad thing. We want to know why they stopped playing, and we're excited to hear their feedback.
The future is untold - we'll see how this summit goes, and make plans for the future. I can say, Cozmo and I look at these forums every single day and translate the feedback to the developers in a Bi-weekly Community Report - our main focus is not only to make Destiny 2 for the content creators, but for many types of players that enjoy the game. Whether you be a hyper-competitive Crucible player, a Raid sherpa, a 4-hour-a-week player, or someone who's just here for the story, we're doing our part to collect your thoughts - and get them in front of the people working on the future of Destiny 2.

  • If you want us (the Community) to give you (Bungie) Feedback, you had better have 2 hours. Because I'll give you EVERY SINGLE LITTLE DETAIL
EVERY ONE
• I played D2 for 27 hours before deciding it was terrible. I was more than up for it too after playing D1 (my favourite game) for 2500+ hours. I really wanted D2 to be great. Drop me an invite, I’ll tell you what’s up.

  • IMO, before you listen to anymore feedback , the core mechanics need to be fixed

  • It’s quite clear why they stopped, too many changes made the game boring and the loot that sweet loot is utter garbage

  • Are you considering allowing remote participation in the summit via Skype or FaceTime. I live in California and it wouldn’t be convenient for me to travel to Bungie HQ. I consider myself an average D2 player. Lots of mostly solo hours. No raid completions yet. Horrible kd stats. But somewhat knowledgeable about D 2

  • everyone is traveling to Bungie hq, they will be playing unreleased content and giving feedback, none of that can be done remotely and still be as secure.

  • This is still going to be -blam!-ing useless. Many issues with the game are fundamental, core issues that I would bet my bottom dollar that Bungie are not willing to rework. The content creators can say all they like, it can only fix so much.

  • Well history repeats itself and bungies is atrocious with dealing with things like this.

  • Wait, you're inviting people who have stopped playing the game to a summit so that you can finally figure out why they stopped? Its almost like these content creators have already voiced their concerns; as did most of the player base. This is just a front to show the remaining guardians that you "are" listening and not just hearing anymore, several months into the games cycle. Kind of Tone deaf, don't you think?

  • Just saw that Slayerage is going so I’m happy about that, I feel like his video he put out a while back about why he didn’t like the weapon slot change and how it affects the game negatively, pretty much mirrors my view point. But providing a list of who all has been invited could help reassure the community on who our ambassadors are.

As long as there is open convo about planned changes / adjustments it should be fine. Rise Of Iron, Age of Triumph felt like the result of years of feedback synthesized into a love letter for the mass of fans. It was as good as D1 got, the team nailed it. Though room for improvement still. Destiny 2 was dropped in our laps. While some of it seems like it was based in feedback (mainly PvP stuff — but of course PvP effects PvE), there were also many things that left ppl scratching their heads, that in an open dialogue most of us would have immediately said, “Please no!” It Sounds good so far. But, holding out hope to see the implementation. Good day to you.

  • Can you give us a list of who has been invited ? The individuals whom I understand from the Reddit post are going such as Gothalion, Datto, Mercules, Dr Lupo etc all seem to be You Tubers and Streamers. Are there any ordinary gamers going who can give an opinion which is not motivated by monetary self interest?

  • "ordinary gamers" are problematic. as they have less to lose if they break NDA

  • Perhaps but their opinion would be worth a great deal more.

  • They wish to empower Streamers/YouTubers even more, by having them speak for the Player Base. Which is ridiculous if I do say so myself.

The irony of you guys trying to appease the streamer minority lost you most of your players and in doing so the very streamers you suckled. Lol it’s not every day that you witness such a cluster -blam!-.
