Last night I opened up the companion app to do my usual #OffTopic perusing and discovered I had been logged out. I didn't think anything of it at first because that's something that happened in the past from time to time. However, when I signed in, I was immediately logged back out. I tried signing in with my Xbox account instead, same thing happened. I found out later that a new app update had been released. Now, I haven't updated the app for quite some time because each update was met with widespread criticism. I was wary of updating to a buggy app when the version I have been using for years works perfectly fine. The last major update, I guess the one for D2, was a disaster by all accounts. Meanwhile, I've been fortunate enough to still have a super old version and not have to deal with the issues presented by the new app. So, my question is, am I screwed now? Do I have no choice but to update to the version that came out yesterday no matter how god-awful it is? Some pertinent information: according to the app info on my iPod, I am currently using app version 3.2.2 Did the new update render that version obsolete (which in my opinion would be rather odd and random after all this time), or is it something else? I'd like to have some kind of answer before I update, for obvious reasons.
