Bungie Once Again Is Going To Take Feedback From The Streamers and Content Creators Over The Common Player
There is a Destiny 2 Summit April 19-20 at Bungie. Bungie has invited a few of the top names in the Destiny community, some who don't even play the game much or have moved on completely.
Rather than continuing to listen to the ones who play the game daily/weekly, Bungie's summit is going to include names that don't even play anymore.
Once again, if you're not a streamer or content creator, Bungie places you low on the totem pole.

Yes Bungie doesn’t care whatsoever about your opinion, simply because they know you will play and buy into everything. Bungie needs to regain positive image, and will do so by paying streamers and the like no life Beggars/Hookers. Have you never watched idiocracy? Bungie is paving the way.

Really? It's a huge suprise that Bungie won't invite every single person who plays Destiny 2? You do know that the average player's feedback is "Make the game better" right? How is that supposed to help Bungie? Granted I'd probs only invite Datto, Unknown Player, and maybe Byf. But think about this for a second. If I didn't know you personally or didn't know you at all, would you expect me to invite you to a party where all of my social circle will be, even though you aren't a part of it?

i can think of one tuber who i do not want there because they are oblivious to what is wrong with the game. i understood why the division had to do this. but the problems here are very clear and they have a solid previous release to tap for what works. the only thing that matters is the alleged fall expansion, which (based on no evidence) i feel is not guaranteed.

Hey dmg04: A couple of considerations: 1) Don't make a game that is only for the Datto no-lifers. Obviously these people are not representative of your overall, PAYING player base. 2) Whatever you do, please try to prioritize FUN over perception. Add in FUN activities. Grinding feeds the addict's addition. This is not FUN. Adding in a new variant of Prison of Elders or Archon Forge could be FUN. In other words, please don't cater to the suffering RNG addicts.

Depends on the content creators picked, I know some that do lore related stuff that I wouldn't mind lending there voice to the future of the game.

I think trying to differentiate between the "common player" and a content creator is a complete useless argument. Yes, they are usually a bit more on the hardcore side of things, but they are still players. They just so happen to make content about the game as well. Now, I do agree that those content creators who have moved on from the game completely should definitely not be invited. However, there are still a large amount of content creators who still love the game, and want it to succeed. So let them speak. And, as dmg04 said earlier, they do read the forums. If you want your opinion put out, as you're doing now, go here.

maybe, they should have just invited the forum trolls? That way when you load the game you get a Pepe graphic and a lulz. I think content creators have a better idea of what people are interested in then, well say... a schmo that plays the game and doesn't depend on its success to make a living.

What I don't understand is. If these streamers and youtubers don't care about the common player and only care about how many followers or viewers they have. Wouldn't it at all times be in their best interest to have Destiny be a game that's amazing so that more people play, and thus they have larger followings? I'd rather have this scenario than the alternative - zero community representation. Moreover, inviting random community members would be a logical nightmare - how would invitations be determined? Why did ______ get invited over me? Bottom line: take what you can get.

1 ReplyWere you hoping they'd invite you? It's always the way dude. The thing I find most annoying is the amount of money they spend on these streamers. With all the flights and hotel rooms they fork out for, they could easily hire a team of monkeys to create a fun dlc for us regular folk to play.

Can we have a 1-3 man end game activity like a miniature raid which will drop end game loot with a few mini bosses and a jumping puzzle. The big 6 man raid group experience is not enjoyed by everybody. Give us options. Make loot sought after again. We don’t mind the grind if the reward is worth it. Let us build our guns and armour the way we want it.

No offense to you my friend but anything that can get this game back to the way it was before I will take Youtubers/streamers make it their livelihood playing destiny so your an idiot if you think they don't want it to succeed. I would love bungie to invite me out of the blue to their studio but I also have a well paying job and I have to put food on the table for my wife and kids . I play the game between 3-4 hours most nights I love the franchise but in turn I have no platform to show people I love this game and what I don't like apart from this forum and reddit. Some small redditors have actually been invited cause yet being small their voice is heard in our community So please just try and be happy that bungie are even doing a q&a like this , get us back on track I'm excited for the future of this franchise I love playing so peace out man :-)
