There is a Destiny 2 Summit April 19-20 at Bungie. Bungie has invited a few of the top names in the Destiny community, some who don't even play the game much or have moved on completely.
Rather than continuing to listen to the ones who play the game daily/weekly, Bungie's summit is going to include names that don't even play anymore.
Once again, if you're not a streamer or content creator, Bungie places you low on the totem pole.

I know Mesa Sean is going. Is Byf? Those are the only guys I really trust and respect. I am convinced that a lot of these game's issues were caused by Bungie listening too much to streamers and ignoring the rest of us. And now they're doing it again.

This is the best thing to happen to D2 since it's launch. Be hopeful, because the people they invited to this thing are the right ones with the voice of those who truly love Destiny. Make Destiny Great Again!!!
-
We make our own futures if we know how to adapt to change. Good luck!
-
Creeps into the forum to see if D2 is worth playing yet. Good luck getting the streamers off fortnite. That developer releases enough content to keep players and streamers happy. Creeps back out.

If by the common player, you mean the illogical, nonsensical people I see on here? Hell no i don't want y'all deciding how any game should be. Especially a game that needs to be overhauled so. If it was up to most of y'all ttk would be 0.6 making mid tier resilience ranking 4-6 mean nothing, the only classes worth a damn would be hunters and titans, Auto rifles could 3 tap from range with 1 head shot 2 body taking skill completely out of the equation, Nades that track would ohk.

As opposed to what? Inviting anyone who's ever played so much as a free demo of their games? Content creators (when they're making destiny content consistently) play more of the game than really anyone else. Would you rather they invite 12 year olds who don't quite get how game design works? Or maybe 40 year-olds who play like 3 hours a week because they're busy with their families, work etc? Except those are the last people you want because that's who the game was originally aimed at and we all know how that turned out.

The own any channel with subs over x number lol they all read from a script

Wrong.

Edited by lCertifiedl: 4/6/2018 8:45:39 AMI don't blame bungie at all for not inviting anyone off the forum, have you read this place? Full of whiny children with nothing constructive to say. They seem to have invited a good variation of players and some who don't play anymore, hopefully they give us what we want eventually...depth.

Theres hundreds and thousands of followers in total for these more well known players, if people didnt agree with what they said then they wouldnt give them attention which would not have them getting invitations in the first place. Secondly, bungie knows doing this video game business is their livelyhood. They wouldnt waste money on some random person they suspect might not be in it for the longhaul or have a proper insight on the game or even dedicate themselves to it fully. Im a content creator myself but I only made one destiny video showcasing the stupid crap I came across in pvp, that doesnt warrent me, a dedicated player to top it off, to go to these events. I have no clue who YOU are so how would I know to trust your insight on things and pay for you to come for these events.

Edited by Pr0phet10: 4/6/2018 3:48:48 PMStreamers/Content Creators ARE common players. They simply make a living doing it. Some of ya'll make no sense. I've watched many Content creators over the past couple of months talking about THE SAME concerns that we all have. From: PvE and Lore To PvP and TTK Loot grind Random Rolls Raids/ Other Endgame content Etc. Etc. What makes them different is, again, that this is their form of income. They aren't getting paid by Bungie. They are actually getting paid by us, the subscribers the ones who flock to see their videos which take a fair amount of time and effort. So don't devalue their opinion. Ultimately they represent us. They know whay they need to ask/say they know at this point to be cautious and reserve over hyping things. Like us, they too, have been let down and disappointed. I look forward to this Summit and all that comes from it.

How many times can Bungie pay for someone's travel and lodging before they have to consider them a paid employee?
-
Because listening to the common player and development for them has lead to this state of emergency. You are really dense
-
You do realize with thousands of people on here complaining, they can't listen to everyone?
-
Nothing new. They've always invited people who sucked the game's cock. Anyone who had anything negative to say about the game was basically konami'd
-
I heard they invited that guy with severe delusions of grandeur who does nothing but praise Bungie on the forums, and it's that more than anything that tells me exactly what their intentions are. Bungie already have all the feedback they need, and they know exactly why the population is plummeting, but they'd rather stick to the same old crappy PR stunts while assuming what the community feedback means. I've called them incompetent for years, now they have gone beyond that into something that has no words to describe. You couldn't make this shit up...
-
Honestly I just want my last dlc to be released. So I can R.I.P Destiny
-
Same idiots who cheered at the d2 reveal
-
Yep, all the assholes who said Destiny 2 was amazing then they dropped the game are being invited. Why not invite the people who actually still play the game and are not streamers? Fuking Bungle.
-
Calm down , this is just a PR hoax to sell DLC and soften up the ground. .Activision has read other sources than the monthly powerpoint from Bunige and realized that its going downhill even steeper that Bungie admits. They have put in some smart brat to try to get it back on track.. this summit combined with some internal changes that are in the pipe to make sure the DLC at least cover the cost for developing it and that D2 is making that 10% to the shareholders long term.
-
Oh look, it's dmg with his complete PR bullshit again.
-
Just a PR stunt for upcoming DLC. They invited the same guys who said Destiny 2 was great & CoO was great the last time they did a summit

Edited by tidjuchi: 4/6/2018 11:40:57 AMWe can only hope that this event would actually make a change for the better. I think go fast update was a step towards right direction. Reading the new bungie article it seems that we are gettin good changes like weapon slot change, maybe random rolls? Well see. Im still gonna buy the dlc because i still enjoy the game. Been here since d1 early days. What i would like to see besides what people are asking at forums is *optional matchmaking for nightfalls and raids *random rolls *special grinding quests that rewards you with somethin worth it *more strikes and longer strikes with scoring *armor that matters for example gives certain boost to stats *more unique talent build, maybe not so deep that wow has but sorta *crucible ranks are already coming, i have asked that before *titles from pve and pvp, that you earn for doing something *professions? To be able to really craft something unique *prison of elder events *sparrow racing You get the point, lots of more fun grinding that keeps you going. I know its hard to do this all but we can hope. This kind of grinding is what keeps people play wow year after year. Simple as that.
-
The content creator's they invited just post ur questions to them and they will forward them to bungie.
-
Can we get a dlc for d1?
-
This game was designed specifically for the common player and look how that’s turned out :/ Hopefully these streamers/content creators will actually put Bungie in their place and call out the bullshit.
