WHY CANT NIGHTFALL HAVE MATCH MAKING???????!!!!!!!
I am a NA player i work nights and dont get on till like 1am pdt if not later whay the hell do you not have match making for what is meant to be end game content even useing the forum team finding i have yet to be able to get a damn single nightfall or raid done i have sat in the guided match list for over 4 hours waiting to get someone anyone to group with and natta zip nothing. does that thing even work?????? why would you block a large amount of your players from doing the end game content by making it that they MUST have friends to run it with. no one i know even spent money on this game and gave me crap for giving d2 a chance honestly if you are not going to make contecnt that is able to be played without group make sure for a damn fact that the groups can be made in game by match making its really not that hard is it??? B title games have this hell even c and d ones do but a triple A title nt having it is redunkuless

3 RepliesJust use the app man, you'll find people specific to what you're trying to do. It's better this way sense NF is ....endgame...lel. Matchmaking is cool for lower tier stuff but not for the high end shit. It'll come with a boat load of problems.

They should have added match making to everything in Destiny 1, as a choice. At this point, they don't know what they are doing. There are still raids I haven't done in D1 because of this. Yet one of the many reason I don't like this game much. Bungie is kind of lost.

1 ReplyAs slow as Monster Hunter World can be it is so amazingly easy to get with other players on missions and you don't even have to talk to each other as everyone knows what to do. The missions are nothing like Nightfall but it proves that as long as people know what they're doing you don't need to communicate and matchmaking could work.

It would also be nice if they took a leaf out of the exotic quest lines from the Taken King,as I was able to get the Sleeper Simulant,three exotic swords and the Chaperone,using just matchmaking with random player's and no communication.

Because if nightfall has matchmaking then solo players won't be locked out of it... This game has been heavily designed to exclude solo players from content, be it raids, nightfalls, trials, pvp was styled to deliberately punish you for playing in solo que by actively looking for four person teams to match you against. Nightfall doesn't have matchmaking, because that allows solo players to enjoy content. If you feel unvalued by Bungie, stop playing the game. No. Really. Stop. I'm not joking. I'm not telling you to feel good about just throwing away money. I'm telling you that unless there is a long term sustained total drought of players where they are forced to confront the fact that they have released a failed title, nothing will change, until Bungie has been forced to go through a total leadership restructuring because every decision they've made has been nothing but a failure, nothing will change. If you like destiny's direction, and think you'd be fine playing this game for the next two years if they didn't change a single thing, keep playing the game. If you do not think this is absolutely perfect as it is, stop playing the game entirely until they make real change, because if you come back to this game for the pocket change you've been offered, then this is the only change they will ever make. If you want them to fix the game. You have to make them suffer. And the only way you can do that is to not play the game. Why? Because if they continue to have a nonexistent player base, markets will see them as a bad investment, their stocks and share prices will drop through the basement, and they will be forced to make serious direction changes just to survive the next six months.

9 RepliesUse this app and/or discord and you can assemble a Fireteam in minutes. Advantages include aligning on singe elements, handicaps, characters and subclasses, strategies, super call outs, etc. With matchmaking you are going to have a lot more people looking to be carried, etc. For higher end content you need to have some vetting process going into the encounter otherwise you are not going to get the experiences you are looking for. Take the few extra steps to be in control of your game experience, don't outsource it to matchmaking.

Edited by name: 3/28/2018 12:05:25 PM@ OP: I been the guy posting it in 2014 all the time , but I rather stopped playing than using some shitty forums to manually replicate in a painful and cumbersome way what a game mechanism (matchmaking) should do automatically you will lose interest in the game before there will be any matchmaking , because there wont be , if its a problem for you better stop playing the game immediately and switch to games which lets you play conveniently another thing is the cancer of the LFG player pool , i'd rather play with AI bots than with them

Part of the endgame in both D1 and D2 is searching for other players on LFG sites on your laptop/pc. Bungie knows this now for about 3.5 years.

a 1000 times this. Ive been looking at the latest nightfall loot thinking "yup thats some sweet treats but not a chance I'll be getting my guardian mitts on those bad boys" due to the fact that no-one in my clan plays anymore. Bungie should seriously review there match-making policy - I think it's the solo player die hards that are keeping this game alive today IMO

Unfortunately, this is something not clear and Bungie have never gave us a valid and solid explanation for this... I can understand it's missing for Raids, but, to be honest, the lack of matchmaking for Nightfall is really ridiculous, there isn't any justification for this. WHAT A SHAME!

I would definitely play NF's more if there was match-making. Based on what I know so far, I think it's stupid that Bungo haven't implemented it.

Optional matchmaking for everything. Blizzard implemented raid finder for end game raids with slightly lower powered loot and slightly easier bosses, there is no reason Bungie cant implement it here with the slightly higher level gear locked behind raids that do not use matchmaking. It would be a way for everyone to experience all levels of the game solo or not. For anyone wanting harder challenges then join a clan and create your own team for the harder self made groups. There are plenty of games that remain accessible for solo and casual players but still hold value and challenges for more hardcore players.

Bungie are clinging to the deluded assumption that not having matchmaking will force fireteams to stick together. My fireteam is gone Bungie. It's been gone for a loooong time and they're not coming back. It would be nice that in a show of good faith you would allow solo players - you know guys like me who keep playing this game through thick and thin - to enjoy everything the game has to offer and not be punished for your own shortcomings. But I guess that's too much to ask.

I see no reason why normal NF doesn’t have MM. Unless you can use the mod card on normal, that would cause issues obviously.

well said. Been saying it all along. Kids and teenagers have friends to play with. Im a 35 yr old grown adult with friends who have commitments like kids, wife job etc. Barely time for gaming. Oh Bungie, btw the average gamer is 35 years old....just saying

Personally I would like matchmaking for everything. Maybe for the raid you have to complete it say 5 times to qualify for matchmaking. Hate having to find someone on the app and add them or message them. Takes longer than the raid at times.

AMEN. There is absolutely no reason why the regular nightfall can’t have matchmaking. It is really not that hard. It doesn’t require a mic or complicated teamwork. It’s just a slightly harder heroic strike. I can see no reason why the normal (power level 270) nightfall can’t have matchmaking when everyone is at least power level 320 by now. I’m going to go find random people without a mic to do it with anyway. Why not take the frustration and needless hassle out of it and just put the matchmaking in the game?

Why not? It’ll just clear all the noobs out of LFG. If LFG is still an option it should have no baring on how LFG works and may even improve the quality of the LFG teams you make. It’s simple logic: Less noobs on LFG and more on matchmaking means less noobs trying to take your spots on LFG.

I’m in the same position. Had an 18 minute queue for guided games and gave up. My clan stopped playing and now the player numbers are so low that matchmaking is definitely needed. You can’t even get the weekly engram without a fireteam. Now they’re adding NF only loot smh

You didnt spend four hours in guided games unless you have some really crappy internet. Most ive ever had it last was 20 muns. As for finding teams i do it every day with no issues at all. Youre over exaggerating

2 RepliesIf people don't want to use a proposed end-game activity matchmaking because they are afraid it will create bad fireteams, then fine, do just that - don't use it. Guided games is broken and LFG is a pain in the ass.
