Disc Not Reading? Call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX for support (see page 35).
Every game I have reads fine but Reach will not load. No scratches and it won't even get to the point where I can install it to the HDD. It even came up as a DVD a few times...
Urk: If you are experiencing disc read errors with Halo: Reach, please contact customer support at 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and report the issue. As soon as we have more concrete information, we'll update this thread with the next steps.

If I were you I would praise Jesus, Alah, Jahosephat, Virgin Mary or what the F^%$ ever that your disc doesn't work. Its just your god telling you its ASS. Reach is the second worse game ever made next to dragon age 2. Halo 2 was the best in the series, halo3 was fun then somebody said "to hell with halo and the true fans lets appease the 8 year olds" and odst came out. Reach is the biggest piece of sh^7 to come along to a great series ever. The story is garbage, the matchmaking is slow and atrocious. ITS HALO 3 DOWNGRADED IN EVERY WAY EVEN THE ARMOR ABILITIES IS A DOWNGRADE THAT TAKES AWAY FROM MM PLAYABILITY. I don't want to admit it because I loved halo so much but the series is dead and bungie killed it.

I have the same problem I randomly get Unreadable Disc ever other game disc works perfect but sometimes I get that Unreadable Disc....It must be cursed! Lol

If I take my disc in and it's not working, could I replace the disc for free. I don't want to pay another $60 for another copy.

I have the same problems too. Barely any scratches, but it's not playing on the new Xbox 360 slim.

the same thing happened when i bought halo 3 it says open disc tray, or play dvd. then i traded it in for halo 3 ,the same game, and it worked fine if you still have issuses your just very unlucky

or maybe, you just need to get a dust blower, and clean the inside of your xbox, becuz I have a friend who none of his games would read until he blew it with the dust blower.

I have a good piece of advice. how about. Getting your copy of reach from a real store instead of a corner dealer and then mabee it will work DUH! Oh and also dont post stupid stuff like this here again your a stupid STUPID YE BIG NOOBY STUPID!

I have the new xbox360 slim and just about three months ago it had e64 and e65 now it's fine when I play halo 3 lt works perfectly but when I put in reach it makes a whirring noise everything works except sometimes firefight wont work and campaign never works

Tell me about it I got temporarily banned from reach because the disc would be unreadable in matchmaking games - talk about rubbing salt in the wound!

NOT all launch consoles are having this issue. I have a rather old Launch Xbox 360 that has red ringed on me a couple times, and reach will play in it perfectly. My guess is that the laser is wearing down. The original Xbox console had a similar issue with Dual Layer Disks as it grew old.

same thing happened to me- I gave up on the customer support ( no patience) and just sent it to cdfixers.com. they "fixed" it and sent it back to me for like 4 dollars... better than buying a new disk!

The real odd thing is sometimes it works, but im missing maps like FORGE WORLD. And i cant load ANY content My disk doesn't have a scratch either
