Without random rolls (unless they’re fixed exotics or from specific highly challenging activities like flawless in a Trials) will mean there’s basically no chance people will play for this gear repeatedly.
It’ll be the same fixed roll style meta (just different weapons) with minor gameplay variations until they patch the game again in 7-9 Months...
They need weekly or fortnitely (fortnightly XD) sandbox updates. If you can’t do this then build a game that you can and make all future updates to Destiny 2 free (not that people will likely play them much anyways but you might salvage back a little respect).
Edit 1: they’re fixed......... why would you waste so much time for something so close to being awesome but has ZERO replayability once you get it

Be prepared for "Game over".

4 RepliesYou know, it'd be a kinda cool thing if the "static" rolls were changed every reset, month, season, whatever. That would make the 10th better devils interesting, as long as you don't get all 10 within the same period. Get into the game, first of the month, oh geez, time to go see what the re-rolled crucible, vanguard, weapon smith, planetary vendors weapons are, and start earning them back.

1 ReplyGame over man, game over.

1 ReplyEdited by Enderswolf Zero: 3/27/2018 2:27:34 AMThen it's probably game over. It looks fairly clear they're doubling down on Mods 2.0. Which I'm fine with IF it's works the way I hope it does. It always looked like armor mods were created in place of random rolls, with things like counterbalance. Now we just need some cool mods for weapons that aren't bland.

100% static rolls

4 RepliesDoes nightfall even drop anything because I've never gotten to play them

Nightfall and strikes specific loot are very important but as you said, if it's fixed roll, then once everyone got those gears, then nothing to grind for again unless they introduce lots of new masterworks. Loot is very important but I played D1 strikes 100times and didn't get sick of it because everything was well made and every fire team was different. Varieties of load out, different character customisation, different strategies. Those gave just normal strikes run so much more fun and different. I didn't care about strike rewards but it's just so much more fun. In D2, everyone and every run feels the same except individual's gun skills.

1 ReplyBungie is tied into their contract with Activsion so they can’t make any other games not Destiny related and the reason they aren’t always pumping out updates is because of their trash engine since it takes forever to do anything on it but if they had a better engine we’d probably see these updates come out a lot faster
