im guessing they are faction specific. because when im not with new monarchy the one in one of the trostland EDZ lost sectors doesnt appear (some sort of light infused golden age tech cabinet. its in the lost sector where you go to drop beacons to call in the cabal when the fallen cloak their enhanced ether things)
new monarchy there was in sirens watch lost sector on titan another example of it. it was to the left as you face the boss chest under some stairs. didnt appear with dead orbit
EDZ dead orbit there is a tech thing to scan in between the chest and a cliff with more fallen on with vandal snipers and shanks. its high on a rock. dead orbit go on about not normally interested in things from the past.

I have three characters, and pledge each of the three Factions each Rally and the scannable items appear of all three of my characters each time. This time I have done EDZ, Nessus and Titan on my Hunter (Dead Orbit this time), Titan (Future War Cult this time) and Warlock (New Monarchy this time). Still trying to find Io... I give up on Mercury... I figure they just didn't bother with it because... Bungie.

One Lost Sector on Mercury. Look for Lost Sector emblem . Upside down capital U with 2 .s inside the arc. There are 2 concrete block structures on either end of the wide open sand dune type areas that sometimes have travel rings on top. Vex yellow bars are there occassionaly and after you kill it it drops a chest. The hiest block has a space on the backside. When u drop down there is an opening heading down to the Lost Sector

I mean I gave up on looking for the Faction Rally Scannable... I've been doing the Mercury Lost Sector since Osiris launched.

It can be a different location for each faction rally.

I think you are wrong. Check the location now what I have mentioned on topic header. Scannables should be there, no matter what Faction you pledged.

Erunosta is right. I pledged to 2 different factions this time around and they were in the same spot for everybody. Whomever you pledged to is who is going to be who tells you the "story" about it.
