Now I've just finished the Osiris campaign and something really weird struck me. As he returned to the infinite garden, he said to his ghost "Come, little light". The only other time in the Destiny series that "little light" has been said was back in D1 with the mysterious stranger when she refers to your ghost as little light. Is there some kind of connection there? Like, could she be an apprentice of his like Ikora?
What do you guys think?

Edited by Fhalkor: 8/31/2018 9:03:58 AMTo those people saying she isn't canon or that she's folklore now. She is canon; she is referenced in two of the scannables in D2, where ghost mentions something about how he wonders what ever happened to her, and why do these mysterious people keep calling him little. My personal theory is that she is working with Osiris in secret. I think that Osiris has used the infinite garden to simulate different outcomes to win this coming war, and has narrowed down that the best possibilities lie down our path. And he just isn't telling us and she isn't saying much about her business, to keep you going down the best possible timelines. I believe we were lead on this path from the beginning because, first of all, she was talking to someone about interacting with us accordingly (probably to Osiris); (she must have been teleporting away too, because you can't talk to someone from a different time). We come across her weapon again as the No Time To Explain, saying "soon" on it later, Osiris has been seen entering the Vault of Glass when we were in it (not too sure if that was us or the past fireteam though). We can also find notes from Saint-14 saying what appears to be us later on giving him the Paradox shotgun, and considering this was given to him in the infinite garden, it was probably by a simulation of our character rather than us. Which could suggest that the stranger's rifle varients are probably from there too because they too are said in the weapon description to be non existent yet. Which would suggest even more she's working with Osiris. And above all of this evidence, the game is called "Destiny". They could've changed the name but they still call it Destiny 2. They are probably just saying "she has been wrapped up pretty well" when everyone knows she really wasn't, to keep the mystery going. Just my thoughts though :)

You are giving Bungie too much credit for having a well thought out plot in advance here. They couldn't even get a comic to not look like it was penned by 8yr olds! Much less having thought out putting in plot hints for the story line down the road for year 2.

Just common phrase due to lack of originality.

I don't know why people are still holding out that Bungie has any clue what they're doing lore wise. Fall of Osiris should have proved they don't even understand their own universe.

1 ReplyEdited by Dark Raven 2501: 3/14/2018 8:16:55 AMOne day we will awake from it & find out it was all a bad dream that the reality of it doesn’t exist and we are still in the D1 universe🙏🏻 Wow I had a mind blowing revelation that nolanbot is gone and peter dinkage was back wow .................... oh I forgot I was dreaming my bad
oh by the way exo-stranger is the traveler😁
The stranger is the ghost. Mind=mush

They are just folklore
-
I noticed that as well

I'm pretty sure one of the prophecy weapons is basically just the strangers rifle but modified with vex tech. So I guess that is pointing more in the direction that Osiris and Exo-Stranger know each other.

9 RepliesYes there is a potential connection. I think the nature of that connection is to be determined. But his referring to her as "little light"....... ....her name being "Sagira" (Arabic for "Little One".) ...and our own ghost wailing about "What is it with mysterious anti-authoritiarian types calling me names (referring to Hawethorne) ?" Are pretty clearly not random events. They all point to the fact that the Exo Stranger is going to play a role in the game going forward, and probably has (or has had) a connection to Osiris.

Sounds like future folklore

He probably found her in the simulation and she's copying him the things he says, she is as interested in the Vex as he is.

I think that was the original idea for her character way back in pre-reboot D1. She could definitely be linked to him currently, but I don't think they want to deal with the time shenanigans they created when they introduced her.
