3 RepliesOf course they are empty and silent. There is nothing to discuss about this game. No builds, no strategies ... nothing. Trolling the forums is fun for some time but it gets old pretty fast. Giving real suggestions and engaging to a blind and deaf developer is not fun and the people who actually care about the game leave aswell seeing that their voice is a voice in a desert. It's amaizing there are people still playing this ...

It's because it's not even worth complaining about the state of the game any longer. They have not indicated that they are interested in fixing the major complaints we have. They have not, to my knowledge, even acknowledged that they think that our complaints about loot, TTK, or random rolls are valid.

2 RepliesThe apathy has finally set in. For months after launch this place was on fire with all manner of discussion, from how to best utilize the new class system, mods, guns, etc, to giving feedback on what is wrong with the game and how to make it better. Then, with each successive update Bungie only succeeded in further infuriating the base. They got caught actively throttling our XP gains, and the outraged fans reacted. Then turned the throttling off but doubled the amount of XP it took to level up, thus keeping progression right were it was. The outraged fans reacted again. Then there was the whole #removeEververse wave after Bungie pushed more and more content into the store instead of into the regular loot pools. The last big hurrah was when Bungie appointed Chris Barrett as the new point man for fixing this mess. Fans thought they finally had a kindred spirit instead of a corporate shill in charge. But then the roadmap came, and the long list of 'fixes' we learned were going to take months to complete. That some of them wont come till fall, when we know the expansion releases, only helped solidify the notion that you'd have to pay to get those updates (likely untrue, but perception is sometimes more important than truth). At that point, a significant portion of players finally gave up. For them, it wasn't worth it anymore. The game is not up to their expectations and the fixes aren't coming fast enough. There are too many other good games out right now to warrant wasting any more time on this terminally-ill franchise. Layman Gaming [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgyZbYi1zs0]just did a video[/url] on how the latest update failed to produce any hype, and how (in their opinion) it's the death-knell of D2. It's a good watch.

1 ReplyI haven't played since first week of October, I stick around to see if Bungie ever fixes this shit show of a game but nah. Barring a straight up miracle this game is super dead. They keep making these little changes and what they need to do is bite the bullet and totally rework the game from the ground up, reverting it back to D1 mechanically is a good place to start. But they won't. They will continue to double and triple down on their terrible ideas even though literally 90% of the player Base has been vocal about what needs changing

This is what happens when you purge the forums of folks who feel passionate about the game but won't kiss the company's back end. Bioware pulled this crap to a much more extreme level back when Mass Effect 3 went south.

i see, with one or two exceptions, very few of the people who used to post regularly. Some of those people were culled in change to forum rules, some no longer care. I said at the time, and I repeat here. that cull was a big mistake. Whilst people are talking, then irrespective of what they said, the game and forums were alive with a passionate audience. That passion has gone and been replaced, as another poster said, by apathy. A little while ago I would have been castigating the community managers for not re-posting all of those tweets by the devs on the update here on B.net. Now I shrug my shoulders and move on. It will take a miracle to bring D2 back from the brink and i can't see it happening

8 RepliesSee... The thing Bungie isn't getting is that a vocal community is an engaged, passionate community, otherwise why would they keep engaging on these forums? When said community stops engaging on the forums (let alone in game), that's when Bungie should worry, because it means they just flat out don't care any more. The community no longer feels like their voices are actually being heard, and it's been that way since D2 launched. There's only so much people will stand before apathy sets in and they no longer feel the need to support this developer. The actual player numbers have clearly declined, the forums are nowhere near as active as they used to be. The writing is on the wall Bungie.

The more I started to realise this game is just a big contractually obligated smoke snd mirrors jerk off...I stopped caring. Bungie's just playing the waiting game. Their marketing experts employing well establised consumer insights know that our rage......eventually.....will....run...out..of.gas. they're counting on it, and thus these forums are lossing their bite.

1 ReplyIt has been almost 6 months since the majority here figured out that this game is nothing like D1 underneath it’s skin. At first everyone felt the need to make this clear to bungie on this forum. But after a few months of giving feedback, it turns out bungie only adresses the small issues. A lot of players just gave up at this point, including myself. I’ve found other ways of filling my gametime and i think most of us have. Still come here during a shit tho, don’t know why really. Haven’t played the game in months.

Look here bromosaurus rex's. Been looking for kiwis for my venomous beaver ducks. Talked to cayde and that jiblet nibbler sold me some maps for hidden kiwi chests. So I saddled up Romstein my head platypus and got to gettin. After 62 days of searching far and wide and opening many a chest Romstein is pissed. That turd burglar sold me maps for chests full of pineapples. Venomous beaver ducks hate pineapples. Not only is Romstein upset but Shawna Tiddlywinks The 3rd (my other platypus and romsteins wife) Is beyond livid. She wont even let me put her saddle on her anymore. Im at a loss here and don't know what to do. After all that glimmer I have an enormous stack of useless pineapples and two severely pissed off venomous beaver ducks. Im gonna try to paint them to look like kiwis but I dont have much faith my lovely's will fall for it. Wish these little buggers didn't love kiwi so much but you know how the old saying goes.. "You cant feed a venomous beaver duck a pineapple painted to look like a kiwi or he will poo in your boot" This game sucks.
