Don't get me wrong, I love br games. But how would bungie adding it to d2 mean they're being innovative. Being innovative would mean they would think up a completely new mode.

Yeah bungie doesn't believe in innovation yet the kind of game they made is being done by plenty of other devs at this point. You know like the battle royal game type is now, only it's way less interesting an idea. Anyway with farcry's level editor I wonder how much you can do with it.

No thanks. You are over estimating the capabilities of this genre. Games like PUBG have managed to pull it off because that is the entire focus of the game. While games like fortnite added something new and fun, such as building and the more cartoony style. But if a game like far cry just takes their current assets and just throws in a battle royal mode it will be boring and bland. This is how you get stagnant genres, people just go "hey this game mode is popular lets just throw it in" suddenly everyone has the game mode and it is the same thing everytime with nothing special. Only games that have something unique and different to add should attempt to add a battle royal mode. The mistake is in thinking that every game with guns should suddenly put all the time and effort into including this game mode just for the sake of having it.
