Honestly, I don't think Destiny handles 6-8 players clustered together very well. My guns lock when I am surrounded, OR when facing people with SMGs. And I have an ultra-reliable Gigabit up/down simultaneously. I dug into the router settings and found that my router clamps down hard on suspected DDOS at a very low threshold of traffic by default. I bumped that threshold up to a very large number of packets per second from the same source and the problem is less frequent. BUT this is not as effective during Iron Banner or Trials. Read into that what you may.
