Flat out: SHE'S TOO YOUNG TO PLAY THE GAME AND SHOULD NOT BE PLAYING IT.
If she were 14, the recomended age for pLAying the game, she wouldnt have reacted the way that she did. 12 year olds are probably the most insecure people on the planet. There's a reason why there are parental controls on consoles. Clearly her parents failed to protect her.
If you are looking at someone to be upset with, be upset with her parents and yourself for allowing and encouraging her to play a game that she isnt ready for.
There is a lot of bad behavior in this world... this is one of the things that we learn as we grow up. This girl grew up 2 years too fast. Not her fault.

Also, it just doesn’t feel right that this community is so unwelcome to new players. She’s almost 13 anyway, does it really matter that she’s less than a year away from the age rating? It’s not a law and she can choose to play it, but that doesn’t mean that people get the right to reject her just because she’s young.

My dude... its very hard being a 12 year old. That's why they need to be protected by their families until they a little older. There's a big difference between 12 and 14. I never said that they girl did anything wrong. All i did was acknowledge the truth that there are toxic people out in the world, and even more so on the internet. She shouldn't have been playing the game if she's not mature enough to deal with the stuff that happens in this type of a setting. That's her parents job to decide. In this case, they made a bad decision. They make Splatoon for a reason. She is the reason. She's not ready for Destiny... she's not ready for the FPS PVP crowd. Not sure why this would disappoint you.
