Definitely D2, especially in the patrol zones and strikes, I also loved the music in the campaign but I haven’t played it in a long time. Btw the osiris/new vex theme is pretty cool.
-
I've switched off D2 music. D1 was brooding and mysterious - D2 is good but also very sad. Not my cup of tea really.
-
<I can't choose. D1 had the MotS (mainly snippets but still), TTK's OST was fire. Rise of Iron brought back an old feeling. The old Vex themes had a warped feel to them. It was one of my favorite parts. D2 has things that I love. I love the Vex themes, especially for Mercury and the Inverted Spire. The Cabal have some kickass themes. The Hive, too. It's the sole reason why Savathun's Song is my favorite strike. I think I might have to go with D2 for one reason; I listen to it more. Why? Well... there was a LOT of unreleased music, so I did my part and started uploading everything I could. I have spent hours making sure people can listen to it without or with very minimal background noise.>

I'm not all that familiar with the music in D2. Turned it off ages ago. 😂
-
Some music is close to FF series. Especially 7.
-
Regicide is GOAT.

2 RepliesEdited by STARWoLF00: 2/25/2018 4:53:53 PMThere were two song in all of d1 that were good. That rest was all bland bs. Even the destiny theme left more to be desired. 1 Regicide 2 Cabal And maybe a third from ROI in the raid. Get over yourselves. The musical score in D2 is overall superior. It’s a shame they don’t play the best D2 songs that often.

2 RepliesMartin O'Donnell.
-
Marty’s music.
-
Obviously D1, where at least some of Marty's legacy remains.
-
2 RepliesI find music in Destiny 2 to be all over the place, and constant. The game isn't allowed to breathe, ambient sounds are drowned out, and most of the time it doesn't even fit the situation. Don't get me wrong, the score is good, but Destiny 1 gets my vote for being better overall.
-
Destiny 2 music is between good to average. Destiny 1 music is absolutely amazing in every situation, period. I even bought the soundtrack of the game.
-
Journey is the Keystone of the D2 Soundtrack. D1 had Sepiks Prime, Cabal Stomp, the three soundtracks that played during each of the three Minds during The Black Garden. Then the Expansions added songs like Regicide, Aksis, and Sepiks Perfected.
-
My 2 favorites from D1 are Regicide and the one that plays during the scene at the end of the OG D1 campaign where the stranger gives you her gun.
-
Both are equal.
-
Excerpt from The Hope Excerpt from The Ecstacy The Last Array Passage Deconstruction Sepiks Prime Cabal Stomp The World's Grave Temple of Crota Shadow Thief The Awoken Path to Oryx Regicide Court of Oryx Cabal Breach Enemy of My Enemy Dark Blade Last Stand Eyes Up Siege Engine The Wretched Eye The Archpriest Sepiks Redux Sorry for the list but there was so much good stuff in Destiny 1. Last Stand for me was particularly epic.

Nothing can compare to the Aksis phase 2 theme.
-
few songs i like in d1. d2's soundtrack actually stuck out to me and i would go as far as saying it would be the first video game soundtrack i would buy.
-
I can recall Journey from destiny everything in it is plain and forgettable
-
Tranquility and Passage. These two were the ones that made me want to continue to play destiny 1 for 4000+ hours. Even after 3 years, I could sit at the character selection screen and simply enjoy the soundtrack. And the tower music (tranquility) was so fantasizing. Overall the vanilla d1 soundtrack beats everything.
-
There is no comparison destiny music was & always will be the best.🦉
-
1 ReplyNothing tops Eyes Up (Aksis theme) for me, so D1 for me.
-
Both have stand out songe, but D1 had more, so it's better by default. D1 has: -Last Array -Original Title theme -Mara's theme -Rise of Iron -Taken King's theme -End of the Line -Gate Lord's theme -House of Wolves theme -The Union -Cabal Stomp D2 has less songs, but the songs we have in when comparing both games in their DLC 1 state D2 has only really the title theme and journey that I remember.

Ricky Martin

2 RepliesEdited by Sir Amik Vaze: 2/25/2018 9:04:37 AMD1 has the better score. D2 is in no way bad but it seems a little misplaced at times. For example, my Exo could be in the Tower canteen making a brew and out of nowhere an epic orchestral piece starts to play at a million decibels. Calm down Bungo it's just milk and two.

There are a ton of D1 songs that are just so right, but maybe only a couple in D2, with the only one coming to mind is the great violin piece at the beginning. Nothing seems to be able to recreate the magic of sepiks, siege of the warmind, the array, regicide, and ad victorium.
