They systematically removed rpg elements for three years in D1.....why? Because of community complaining. Now we are complaining we want them back.....

it was the vocal PvP Minority that asked for that. Also, nobody asked for a removal of randomized roles or questlines.

They didn't remove quest lines and random rolls made it hard to "balance". Balance post were the number 1 post in Desiny 1. Complaints about time investment were the number 1 post in year 1 and they had nothing to do with PvP.

After HoW, the PvP Minority started running the game. They removed additional, side questlines like faction quests and exotic quests and the like.

The nerf to weapons and abilities didn't ruin the rpg aspect, removing farming, weapon leveling, armor leveling, adding multiple paths to gain max light, increasing drop rates.....these all affected PvE far more than weapon and ability nerfs. Yes balance complaints started showing up more and power started to be removed but with no reason to play it doesn't matter how powerful we are. It's far to easy to advance in Destiny and it has been since the first April update after Taken King. I'd like to see more content added but extra quest would just be there to collect more stuff that everyone else has.
