if ikora was osiris' apprentice and then became warlock vanguard after his exile, when did she have time to become a crucible legend with her invective?
nothing in d2 hints at ikora being the crucible legend that she was described as in d1.
crucible was created by lord shaxx after battle of twilight gap, which occurs after the exile of osiris.
In the lore tab for Sagira's shell Ikora refers to the crucible as her home. I think it's implied she was a crucible legend before being mentored by Osiris. As for the fact that the crucible shouldn't have existed until after Osiris's banishment, that was probably just straight up forgotten by the writers

2 RepliesInvective would break the game with the current mechanics. It would be like using the wardcliff ammo exploit, but not needing to get a heavy brick to do it.

Invective would break Crucible (snicker snicker bahahahahaha!)

Evidently, "the world was the crucible" before there was a crucible. Or the translation: "We fxcked the lore up."

Ahh and one of the lovely plot holes introduced thanks to the lovely Stohl .. I’m sure in her eyes invective was a lore mistake .
-
I dunno, just keep buying DLC. I'm sure it will be included in at least one of them.

Retrofuturist is similar in handling. Very reminiscent . It holsters ammo too....not regen but as close as we'll get.
-
There are armor pieces, I think from osiris lore weapons that says it was her home. So yeah, it will come back...its data, and that's what makes up engrams. Plus while they add maybe one or two new exotics, they still have plenty of old ones they can bring back up...always save favorites for later use.

Edited by Konrad: 2/23/2018 11:57:41 PMThe supposed "cannon" in the comics throws everything even in game lore out the window. It was written by an arrogant pansy crybaby who has no respect for the works created by her predecessors and was purely hired off of her family status with the higher ups at Bungie. It's about as accurate to the lore as rushed fan-fiction created by some guy living in his mothers basement.

11 RepliesWho said Shaxx created the crucible?
-
25 RepliesYeah, I think she was a crucible legend before Osiris found her. She was apparently an orphan from an alien planet. I believe Cayde also mentions that we remind him of Ikora from her crucible days in a strike. I’m pretty sure it’s the weapon dealer one.

Thanks to the comics the timeline is all kinds of wonky. We’re not entirely sure what’s going on.
-
Invective is folklore.

2 RepliesEdited by MIM: 2/24/2018 2:01:21 AMShaxx tells the pleb guardians to step into the crucible with Ikora if they dare. In thd comic.

Invective is Lore and lore is ignored 'round these parts.
-
I don't see why she couldn't have gone into the crucible during her time with the Vanguard or even more likely DURING her time learning under Osiris. It could easily fit in anywhere during the timeline that we have now, they just haven't talked about it yet...

Edited by AlphaP456: 2/23/2018 1:40:58 PMIn one of the lore tabs, Osiris chastises Ikora for spending time with Shax, with Ikora responding that the Crucible was her "home." Ikora's apprenticeship to Osiris too place after her Crucible days.

give it another 6 months when they really run out of ideas

2 RepliesYou tell me OP. Have YOU seen it in D2? And this game and it’s lore isn’t canon😃
