Bungie logic: Limits shader inventory room, add more shaders to game

If we are stuck with a limited amount of shaders and you keep adding more then we have to make some hard choices. So can shaders either be moved to a kiosk? or just bump up the carry capacity? yeah i'm not the first to suggest this but just keeping the conversation alive. this is actually one of the reasons I don't feel like playing the game anymore. every time I do something I get more shaders in the post master. then I have to delete shaders to make space to clean out the post master. too often I decide that I don't care and don't bother to visit the tower and say hi to my full post master. then I see that I have a postmaster full of shaders, and my shader inventory is full, and if I want to clean it out, I have to spend the next 15 minutes dismantling shaders. so about half way through dismantling shaders, I realize that I'm playing this game where I should be shooting aliens in the face with my friends, on the narrative of an epic power fantasy shooter. But I'm sitting here taking in the beautiful action of watching shaders disappear, and turn into fine powdered glimmer, and quickly get wisped away in the wind, because shaders aren't the only thing that BungLe decided you could only have so much of.

      • Bungie Logic-not enough inventory space in the game to store one of each weapon, give 50 spots to shaders and mods, when most of them are shit no one will use.

      • In the last two days, I have dismantled over 30,000 glimmer worth of shaders. Finally down to just legendary in my inventory.

        • ive noticed sometimes the same shader will occupy more than one space with a total count of only 5. that if fn stupid.

          • Bungie logic: Blame old gen for low vault space in D1 then give them low vault space in D2 that has no last gen available.

            • I am glad Bungie is starting to add improvements to the game, but I would MUCH rather have the shader usage/storage issues fixed then have fancy emblems. Has anyone even requested fancy emblems? Seems like a waste of valuable time IMO.

            • Bungie logic: sees community clamoring for random weapon rolls, gives community random emblem stats instead.
rip
• shaders are intended to dilute loot pools there no other reason to change from the previous system that had very few complaints bungie will always have to find garbage to throw in the loot pools and slow down loot acquisition I wish bungie would just generate more meaningful rewards and content, instead of using dev shortcuts that provide zero player value

              • Bungie Logic: Players want something worth grinding for, instead gives them nothing but new emblems and more cosmetics.

              • A) I agree, especially with Shaders in particular. At the very least, allow mass deletion of unwanted shaders. B) Same reason we had limited Vault space in D1, more weapons than we could possibly store, and random rolls to further increase the variety. "Collecting" and "hoarding" are two different things. :)

              • I've always hated the fact that, while making stuff less reusable, Destiny 2 also comes with FEWER OVERALL VAULT SPACES than D1 did at the end of it's time. And people say I nit-pick about vault space. I don't get why this has ever been a problem. So many games don't suffer from this... at all.

              • Bungie logic. Says they struggle to create vault space, but created this stupid shader system.

                • Another wonderful decision by Bungo Supreme. That's 50 extra spaces we could have for inventory if they'd just go back to the old shader system.

                  • I think they expected for people to use them up quickly, and constantly need to grind for more. Don’t think they anticipated that because of the state of armor and guns (lack of quantity/variety, set rolls, and exotic ornaments) people would actually end up with a surplus of them. Quite the opposite to what they obviously intended. It’s like, how could you not anticipate this? We can’t apply shaders to exotics. One better devils is the same as any other. Mods are personally applied. Event shaders do not stack with regular drops. Yeah... recipe for an overabundance.

                  • Bungie logic: make a non-issue (shaders in D1) into a one of the major complaints about the game (shaders in D2).

                    • Kiosks would easily solve so many issues, but for some reason they don’t even mention those as a solution.
