And have not shot up a school.
Idk where all of these people are getting "violent games cause school shooters"
from. I mean, my whole friends list hasn't shot up our school.
Edit: Apparently Bill Nye says there is no connection.

Edited by blade329: 2/27/2018 4:19:28 PMI've had violence, from media, flooded into my brain for as long as I can remember. Movies, TV, video games, news, books, etc. I'm not a violent person at all, never taken a life and haven't been in a fist fight since 3rd grade. Unfortunately, there are people who I think are susceptible to these kinds of influences. Like someone suffering from depression or abuse. I think people like that can be vulnerable to violence in video games. A very small number in the great scheme of things.

They are going to use guns to shoot all video games.

I enjoy a nice relaxing, stress free game of....
😈DOOM😈
I played candy crush, now I demand human sacrifice

Didn't the media try to blame Dynasty Warriors for some shooting years back? That had me laughing for days.

Edited by djtanng: 2/23/2018 11:11:51 PMI run over pedestrians and throw grenades in traffic in GTA for fun. I kill random friendly NPCs in Skyrim, Deus Ex, and Halo for fun. Truth: In real life, I literally couldn't even shoot a squirrel let alone anything else. I'm also super friendly and caring towards everyone I've ever met. I don't even fight. At the very most, I might yell at someone really loud if they make me angry enough and that's about it. Violent people cause violence plain and simple.

Ambo
One for the money, two for the show. - old
I play them all the time. Not once have I considered shooting a place up. Never will, either. -
20 years I have been playing games that have some form of violence in them and I am pretty much the most chilled, harmless person you could ever meet. Anyone that says Video games, Music, Movies, TV, or Social media cause people to shoot up schools are complete and total -blam!-ing idiots and that includes politicians.
-
I played a lot of roblox, it's very violent
-
Even a correlation wouldn't imply causation.

Who gives a shit about Bill Nye

Bump, even though Bill Nye is a little bitch.

Edited by Kaishi Ritsu: 2/24/2018 12:23:11 PMCause Bill Nye is a smart guy not an idiot like trump Also bump I’ve played grand theft auto San Andreas grand theft auto 3 and 4 and 5 as well I’ve played call of duty halo battlefield and never once did I think “I want to go cause a school shooting” anyone who tries to push that idea down people’s throats that video games cause this are stupid. You know what causes school shootings? Illegal firearms yet I don’t see trump doing anything about that

9*10^9999 bumps People are -blam!-ing idiots Guns do not kill people Video games do not make a person violent Neither are inherently bad themselves, it's always the person behind them

Edited by Gladlin: 2/26/2018 1:28:42 AMI have decapitated and dismembered untold thousands of people, monsters, and animals. I have shot, stabbed, blown to tiny bits untold thousands of people. I have commanded armies of hundreds of thousands to slaughter and sack cities. I have set off nuclear explosions just for the fun of watching the mushroom clouds form!! I have broken and destroyed nations and empires with the deaths of millions!! I have destroyed entire star systems for my own amusement!! Ragnorok was a firecracker compared to the damage I brought!! All told, I have probably killed more people than Hitler, Smallpox, and the Plague combined!! Yet I felt sick with myself for putting a turtle with a shattered shell out of it’s misery. If that was hard for me, there is no way I could kill an actual real person who was not trying to kill me or my family.

Sure video games are to blame; We don't see violence like this in any other part of society. Apart from the violence perpetrated by many governments in pursuit of peace. Or the imaginary of terror attacks shown every half hour in news broadcasts. Or the newspapers that they sell to us, they have no violence in them, or graphic imagery. I'm sure it's ok to watch beheading video's on a public media platform, with no age restriction except 'tell us your age'. Or that same platform not banning 'content creators' for insensitivity to suicide victims. Sure video games shape young people's minds. Just video games. Everything else in life is just a Disney movie. I remember when 'video nasties' were blamed for everything violent in society. Video games are not the problem. Society is.

Oh I don’t know... I played some AC Origins a while back and had quite the urge to grab a sword and shield and slice at people while riding a horse... right after diving ass first into a large bale of hay proceeding to stab someone and drag them into said bale of hay...

Today, I introduced my 6 year old cousin to Grand theft Auto 5 today. He stole 10 cars and escaped the police with five stars without my help. I’m proud of him😃
