Has anyone ever thought about how we never really see any Hive tombships at all. We only ever see them in an adventure on mercury, but those are just mere simulations. So how come we never see actual tombships on Titan.

They use the ruptures like the one in the rig. Which we are technically allowed to walk through freely
-
Personally, I think the Hive on Titan are pretty cozy for the time being (even if they have tried to sink the rig with them and us on it), and while they attempt to summon Savathún, they are building nests and multiplying. No need for warships if you’re going nowhere, right?
-
Bungie are lazy
-
Eh. I guess because it seems like those Hive on Titan are actually building... uh, a hive. Like they are getting all nested in and breeding and stuff, building a new colony. Best guess. As far as anywhere else, I think it's because we haven't properly seen any real Hive content yet. I may or may not be ready for more Hive content. Seems like we were beat over the head with Hive in the first destiny. Love the Hive, but god I got so sick of them.
-
Theres just a lot of things we dont see in D2 that we saw in D1. Hive in general seem to be lacking, except on Titan. I really miss the Moon zones from D1. That whole interior area was badass.
-
I mean the hive on titan are breeding there so there's no real reason to fly them in from somewhere
-
Nowhere to charge them up? Titan is a nest, the Dreadnought had tombship garages, I suppose the moon would have the same somewhere.
-
The Hive are in hiding more or less. We kicked the asses of their father and grandfather. Now Auntie is in charge and is collecting strength...till then, they are likely keeping a low profile, lest we eradicate them completely.
-
They’re already buried underneath with a ton of Wizards which spawn Proto-Hive like crazy. Which in turn turn into Thrall, Cursed Thrall, Acolytes, Knights etc etc.
-
This reminded me how much I miss “invasions” from D1
-
They were nerfed into the ground like everything else.
-
I’d be willing to bet they’ll show up more in a future expansion... I’m also willing to bet there’ll be a raid on Titan.
-
That’s cause on Titan, they can just crawl out from a corner. They aren’t seen anywhere else, so we don’t see their offensive ships
-
The Art of Destiny 2 calls the Hive on Titan a long-forgotten brood that is reawakening.
-
Well aren’t Hive only on Titan? Maybe we’ve pushed out or killed most of the Hive in the system during era of triumph, now Savuthun’s brood is residing in titan
-
I would say because they are already burrowed deep underground in the Arcology. Man, the Hive just weigh heavy on me. I used to have to go do “light” content (shooting Cabal or something) after playing any Hive content for a long time. Just got dark and claustrophobic after a while. A DLC with them as the focus will likely be great, but man, it’s prob gonna be pretty dark too, unless they go with a lighter tone, which I’m hoping they don’t. In regards to your post, I really don’t think we see a ton of them now because they just aren’t the focus. Each game or DLC that comes out tends to have one enemy as a focus, a secondary villain, then the others scattered throughout.

You can fly a brick through space. Give it enough push, and you can fly a brick in atmosphere. Water doesn't like bricks.
-
They got tickets for speeding and they were impounded, they use uber now.
-
The hive were folklore. They don't exsist
-
Making tomb ships is hard.
-
Tombships will be added with expansion 2. Additional Tombships can be added to the game for $4.99 per planet
-
good point

Edited by will1084: 2/20/2018 8:01:55 PMBecause the hive corporate credit card got declined trying to buy silver and Tess wouldn't sell them any tomb ships for bright dust
-
They only had 20 in total, and used up 18 of them in D1. Got none left now.
-
The acolytes have gone green, due to pollution on Titan.
-
It really seems like “because it was hard” really is the reason we don’t see a-lot of things in this game
