That was a factor that kept me in D1, making my guardians look cool. Most armor for the Titan makes them look fat and short. Most of the armor for Warlocks makes them look the same. No diversity and a very vague visual class item. Hunters usually look scrawny.
Add diversity, and more variations of armor that actually look appealing! No more reskins of crap armor.

Apparently it's too much to ask for my female character to not have a bulge in her pants half the time or some more slender armor.
-
It’s even just the armor, if you compare all of the armor and weapons from d1 to d2 there is so much diversity of looks in d1 and with d2 it’s the same base 3 models just with a different skin. It makes me 90% sure that Bungie just got rid of their whole art team to save some money.

Simple answer you have bad taste.

2 RepliesYou can't seriously expect them to make the Eververse stuff look good AND the regular armor look better? Who will buy their precious engrams?
-
11 RepliesArmor is cool af in D2. You need to get your damn eyes checked.

8 RepliesEdited by CatMan: 3/1/2018 8:41:00 AMYep D2 titan armor is ridiculous looking. As a D1 titan main, we need slimmer lookin gear with regular damn shoulder pads. Edit: The Astronaut armor isn't that bad. Edit: female guardians need boobs, and slimmer lookin gear. Just like in Destiny. Oh and why do dude guardians stand like females.

Just use Iron Banner, TOTN, and New Monarchy armor
-
I cant help but agree with this. I absolutely prefer the D1 design over this new D2 design.
-
Exactly D1 armor was smoother and could various different sets could be combined easily. Some of the armor looks cool, but nothing like D1.
-
D1 armor was so much better.

I main a male Warlock, finding a set of armor that keeps him a MALE Warlock is very tough. I'm limited to like 2 options.

2 RepliesEdited by JohnGreen225: 2/19/2018 6:12:43 AMWhy does the game look foggy 50% of the time? Whatever they did, it looks like arse. Probably something to save a dollar.

2 RepliesDon't even mention the like 5 warlock bonds. And they all suck. No diversity. It's because when d1 launched class items were all cosmetic.
-
Masterwork armor does allow you to wear whatever you want without with worrying about stats. But there aren’t too many good looking armor sets. What frustrates me slightly more is when a certain part of an armor piece does not shade with the exception of some exotics.

2 RepliesThis is what Titan Armor reminds me of...
https://goo.gl/images/bZHg3D
Imo it’s just a poor attempt to maximise profits, much like all the re skinned guns.
-
Well it's better than having everyone run around with the same exact armor like a lot of Year 1 D1
-
6 RepliesI'm sorry, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we have a ton of shaders to choose from. I'm sure you'll find somthing.
-
You just don’t like late Medieval Europe (plate) armor or East Asian armor styles. All vanilla armor styles are variations of 14th and 15th Century European armor styles, and Iron Banner sets are based on (IIRC) Chinese and Japanese armor sets from about the 12th or 13th Centuries.

2 RepliesArmor is content. Content is hard. Bungie doesn’t do hard(content).

1 Reply90% ofbthe armor in d1 was hobo gear
-
I like the fighting monk look available for warlocks now but I agree most armor is too flamboyant. You'd think space explorers whose civilization is on the brink of extinction would adopt a more utilitarian appearance. It's a bit daft to look like a pink piñata on crack when your abilities take so freaking long to charge and you're not all that awesome.
-
i enjoy the boot leg power rangers armor.

6 RepliesEdited by Unforgiven: 2/19/2018 3:31:12 AMI like most of the armor. But I am not a fan of Iron banner ornaments. Iron Banner in D1 we're much cooler with wolf head for hunters and trials gear was way better in D1 than D2. D2 trials gear looks weird. But then again I guess some may like it. I think it's like Destiny 1, it's all about taste. There are many different sets to choose from. Plus game just came out, give it another year and then say it sucks. I remember Destiny 1 sets 6 months after the game was out didn't have almost any variety at all.

I feel like the overall armor in the game doesn't fit the theme of a space mercenary, solider, renegade or space explorers. They all look TOO mythical and gargantuan in nature. I couldn't imagine a person in space running around looking like they tore the skin off of unknown, hidden demons and donned them as armor. Just doesn't work in a space shooter. The guys in space should look like they're in space... You know... To be able to breathe air and look like soldiers or explorers. And don't get me started on the majority of titan shoulders or hunter leggings...

Edited by Quiet_Bushi: 2/19/2018 8:53:10 AMI agree. D2 Armors are ugly if compared to D1 Armors. I think that Titans and Warlocks probably suffer this thing for the most. Titans look like football players and Warlocks like they are always suiting such weird pornostar-bathrobe with odd hats. Hunters now have these weird padded armors or these ninja-like armors that really don't suit well with them. Seriously, I don't understand why Bungie changed so much the armors style in D2...
